💜💛 Gone, but never forgotten. 💛💜

Today marks one year since our Viking family lost Warren Bunch.

Warren brought an energy and presence that was unmistakably his own, and his Viking spirit is something we will always remember. His impact reached far beyond the sidelines, and his absence is still felt by so many who knew and loved him.

As we remember Warren today, we ask our entire Viking community to take a moment to pray for his children, his family, and everyone who continues to carry his memory in their hearts.

Once a Viking, always a Viking. 💜💛

Some moments don’t need a filter. 💜💛🌈

Right there between the goalposts—a reminder that even after the storm, there is still a promise. There is still beauty. There is still something worth looking up for.

This field holds so much more than football. It holds hard work, friendships, lessons, prayers, victories, tough days, and memories our athletes will carry long after the final whistle blows.

Tonight, Viking Field gave us a pretty incredible reminder:

Our 8U Vikings have been putting in WORK, and it’s time to recognize two athletes who stepped up and made an impact when their team needed them! ⚔️🔥

⭐ WEEK 1 — JAYCEON KELLYGRIFFIN
Jayceon showed out on both sides of the ball! He broke loose for a touchdown run, made explosive plays on offense, and came up with key defensive stops. Add in some seriously unmatched endurance, and Jayceon proved he was ready to battle from start to finish! 💪🏈

It’s time to recognize some of our 12U Vikings who have been making BIG plays and putting in BIG work! These guys have stepped up when their team needed them and made their presence known on both sides of the ball. 🔥⚔️

⭐ WEEK 1 — REAGAN JIANG
Reagan was an absolute force on the ground, racking up 150+ rushing yards on just 10 carries and finding the end zone THREE TIMES! 🏃‍♂️💨🏈

We’ve got some catching up to do recognizing our 10U Vikings Players of the Week! These three young men have stepped up BIG on defense and shown exactly what it means to do your job, play hard, and put the TEAM first! 💪🔥

⭐ WEEK 1 — GREYSON MERRELL
Greyson came up BIG with open-field tackles and played with his ears pinned back all game! He brought the effort, intensity, and determination from start to finish!

⭐ WEEK 2 — SHELTON SCHMITTBERGER
Shelton quietly went to WORK, leading the team in tackles and coming up with some huge stops exactly when his team needed them. Sometimes leadership doesn't have to be loud—the work speaks for itself! 👏

⭐ WEEK 3 — ROURKE PATTERSON
Rourke showed what being a TEAM PLAYER is all about! He stepped in wherever he was needed and made the necessary plays on defense to help his team compete. That's Viking football! ⚔️

Today, the Vikings Nation pauses to remember.

September 11, 2001. 8:46am. A Date and Time stamped into the DNA of our nation.

25 years later, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders and everyday heroes who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

May we also remember the unity, courage, compassion, and strength our country showed in the days that followed.

Today, we teach the next generation why we remember.
