Aliza Brennan of Middletown High School

Aliza’s essay reflected on how challenging herself in and around the ocean helped shape her confidence, resilience, and sense of purpose.

She plans to attend the University of Oregon and pursue a career in physical therapy. Congrats, Aliza - and thank you to all of this year’s applicants for sharing your stories with us.

Rhody Surf is looking for surf instructors to join our team this season.

This is not your typical summer job - you’ll be on the beach, in the water, and part of a great crew all summer long.

Ideal for:
- Strong swimmers / surfers
- College students or teachers on summer break
- Anyone who wants to be outside and active

Experience working with kids or coaching is a big plus.

We’re excited to open applications for the 2026 Rhody Surf High School Scholarship, awarded to a local graduating senior who shares a love for the ocean, strong character, and a commitment to their community.

Yesterday we hosted a super fun investment banking crew who swapped spreadsheets for surfboards with our surf, sand + SUP special event package. Cabana service, good vibes — the full Rhody treatment.

🏐🌊 We had an awesome time hosting the Salve Regina Volleyball Team for a surf session before their season kicks off! From spikes to surfboards, this crew brought the energy and stoke 🤙🏼⚡️
