Rogers Sailing Team

Last full practice yesterday. Traditional Viking Cup sail for ice cream along with PHS and MHS. Everyone wins.

The Rogers AD recently joined the team on the water. She definitely made a “splash”!

Last Friday Night Lights of the season is underway! Come to Fort Adams and watch the sailors duke it out on the water!

Beautiful weather helping us say goodbye to our seniors who have led us all season long.

Hard work, determination and a great attitude will payoff. It may take time, but it will.
A peek at future success was experienced yesterday when Morgan and Katie took first in a race against Portsmouth Abbey, and then the Rogers Sailing Team won the next race with Andrew/Hannah taking first and Morgan/Katie taking second.

Lost the Meet overall, but seeing the that you can sail with top tiers is encouraging!

Took a little trip to the lake! Lake Massapoag. Andrew’s nemesis. Conditions were better than last year (pelting rain at 30kts). Met with teams from Maine and Mass. Over-matched and out-played, but that is pushing us and making us better!

Unanimous decision: we prefer the ocean to a lake.

Friday Night Lights #1! Lots of boats and little bit of chaos makes for a fun day.

The Vikings visited Portsmouth Anbey yesterday in some windy conditions.

Team Captains Brettyn and Matthew les us through 4 tough and challenging races. Although it was a loss, we learned a lot and are getting better!

We’re back! First day on the water was Wednesday and what a beautiful day it was!

That’s a wrap on the season! A final sail for ice cream. Had to go to Ben & Jerry’s instead of racing to Jamestown, but got their fill of sweets!
The boats are put away for the season.
