This is a profoundly prestigious honor that looks at the big picture—recognizing student-athletes who lead with exceptional character, positivity, and heart, both in and out of competition.

If you know Leland, this comes as no surprise. Not only is he a dedicated multi-sport athlete who gives his all to his teams, but he also excels in the classroom and the community as a proud member of the National Honor Society (NHS)! 📚💪

To put into perspective just how incredible this achievement is:

Over 15,500 student-athletes and coaches were nominated nationwide this year.

Nominees represented more than 6,300 high schools across the country.

Fewer than 1% of those nominated were selected as award winners!

🐯 NEWTON FALLS HIGH JUMP IS REGIONAL BOUND! 🐯

Join us in sending a massive congratulations to our incredible high jumpers who absolutely crushed it at the OHSAA Districts at Grand Valley! Both of these amazing athletes have punched their tickets to Regionals this week, and we couldn't be prouder of how they represented Newton Falls!

🏆 Girls High Jump District Co-Champion Kirra Howard (Junior) – Took 1st Place with an awesome leap of 4-10.00 (1.47m), bringing home 9 huge points for the Tigers!

🏆 Boys High Jump District Champion Dallas Dillon (Junior) – Captured 1st Place with a fantastic jump of 5-10.00 (1.78m), securing 10 points for the team!

Kirra and Dallas, your hard work and dedication are paying off in a huge way.

⛳️ BIG NEWS FOR NEWTON FALLS GOLF! ⛳️

We are thrilled to announce that the Newton Falls Boys/Girls Golf Programs have been selected as recipients of the 2026 Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation Clubs Fore Kids Grant Award! 🎉

Thanks to this grant, Coach Chad Rankin has been awarded 6 brand-new sets of Wilson golf clubs for our student-athletes. In addition, Girls Golf Coach Mrs. Stimpert attended the Clubs Fore Kids Coach Certification Day last week at Westfield Country Club, bringing valuable coaching resources and instructional insights back to our teams.

This incredible opportunity removes yet another barrier for our students. By providing access to high-quality equipment, we are making it easier than ever for students who don’t own clubs to come out, try a new sport, and see what Newton Falls Golf is all about! ⚡️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

🌧️ WEATHER UPDATE: Softball Tournament Rescheduled
Tiger Nation, Mother Nature has other plans for today. Due to the rain, our OHSAA Sectional game against Campbell Memorial has been POSTPONED.

🗓️ New Game Details
Rescheduled Date: Tomorrow, Thursday, May 14th

First Pitch: 5:00 PM

Location: Newton Falls (Home Field)

🎟️ Important Ticket Note
We want to remind all fans that while we normally do not charge for regular-season home games, this is an official OHSAA Sectional Tournament game. Because this is a state-sanctioned event, tickets are required for entry.

Ticket Collection: Ticket takers will be circulating throughout the game to collect or verify your tickets.

Admission Prices: $10 for Adults/Seniors and $5 for Students.

Online Option: You can skip the line and buy digital tickets at www.ohsaa.org/tickets.

If you already purchased a digital ticket for today, hold onto it! It will be honored at the gate for the rescheduled game tomorrow.
