USD 373 has initiated a Facilities Master Planning project in partnership with RSP, a Kansas-based company specializing in comprehensive school community engagement. Through structured analysis of school and community data, RSP collaborates with a diverse group of community stakeholders to develop a strategic plan that provides the Board of Education (BOE) with informed guidance for future district direction regarding facilities. The group has met monthly since November 2024.

You are invited to come hear the group's findings and share your input on May 14 from 5-7pm at Chisholm Middle School.

Unable to make the event? Don't worry! A Social PinPoint survey will open on the night of May 14 and we will accept responses until May 28 to share your input.

No School or NRC Clubhouse: Wednesday, January 10, 2024, due to weather and road conditions.

Because of the Professional Day (January 11), NHS Wrestling Tournament of Champions (January 12) and Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 15) students will not report back until Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

I am so thankful for all the support and love I have been shown over the past few months of my campaign. I am grateful for all the votes I received.

Pending the vote canvassing I am ready to take the next couple of weeks learning as I prepare to embark on this 4 year term of working for & serving our children and community.

We've had 272 early voters stop by to cast their ballot so far at the Harvey County Courthouse for the 2023 general election. Early voting continues through Monday:

🗳 Thursday, Nov 2: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
🗳 Friday, Nov. 3: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
🗳 Saturday, Nov. 4: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
🗳 Monday, Nov. 6: 8 a.m. to noon

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7. Poll sites will be open across the county that day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Hello! I wanted to take this time to chat with you all! I am excited for the upcoming elections and if voted in, I'm ready to serve our students, parents and school staff members!

If we haven't had a chance to chat in person, I wanted to share a little bit more about why I am running for this position, and the experience I bring to the table.

I grew up in a really small town in Texas and after college I moved here when I married husband. I have lived in and worked my entire career in Newton for the last 12 (almost 13) years.

I am a mom of 3 and I prioritize the well-being and future of my children and all children in our district. With two of my children already attending Newton Public School and our third starting next fall, I am committed to making decisions that support and enhance education in our district.

I am also a local business owner of Bella Veil Bridal, and excel at making well-informed, data-driven decisions. Leading a team of talented employees has been an integral part of my journey, resulting in consistent growth of our business year after year. I am excited to bring these skills and insights to the role of local school board member.

My hope is to help create a school district that our community can be proud of, that can be an example to others and that our students take pride in.
