Hispanic Heritage Month, is celebrated from September 15 to October 15. This month-long celebration begins mid-September to coincide with the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Celebrate with us as we honor the diverse histories, cultures, and traditions that have shaped our society.

🚃A major rockslide led to the permanent closure of the Niagara Gorge Belt Line Railroad. Additionally, several factors contributed to the decline of the Niagara Gorge Trolley, including a decrease in passenger numbers during the Great Depression, ongoing repair needs, and increased competition from automobiles and buses.

🥾 of the Week! 🌲
Fall is starting to show at Knox Farm State Park. Last week, seniors enjoyed Art in the Park - Watercolor Leaves. Making beautiful works of art to take home. Visitors on the weekend, enjoyed our Birds of a Feather bird walk. We were fortunate enough to spot ravens, bluebirds, and red-tailed hawks.

Today visitors enjoyed a Fall Wildflower Walk around Evangola State Park. Visitors discovered the many adaptations of wildflowers and saw beautiful flowers in bloom around the Evangola Nature Center.
