4 GREAT PLANTAR FASCIITIS EXERCISES - Let us know what exercise has given you the most plantar fasciitis relief👇 

1️⃣Rock Back (Big Toe Extension Bias): Improves big toe mobility so that we don’t see big toe drift, our foot can move through that healthy heel toe pattern, and our plantar fascia isn’t placed through a load it wasn’t ready for.

2️⃣Heel Raise with Ball Squeeze: strengthens the posterior tibialis, leading to improved eccentric pronation during your everyday activities. Weak posterior tibialis muscles place increased load through the plantar fascia of the bottom of our foot and oftentimes, causes pain and discomfort.

3️⃣Single Leg Heel Raise with Big Toe Extension: heel raise exercise variations are great for progressively loads this tissue and surrounding musculature. This one in particular (with a towel under your big toe) puts them in a slightly extended position, which puts a stretch on several of the muscles of the bottom of the foot, the plantar fascia, and muscles that originate in the calf region and insert down through the bottom of the foot. With this tissue in an elongated position, we add the heel raise on top of it to load and strengthen the tissue to better build up resiliency through a greater range and at a higher load.

4️⃣ Foot on Wall Stretch: Stretch out the muscles and fascia on the bottom of your foot because of how it causes your toes to be slightly extended when placed against the wall. It’s also going to help to stretch out those fascial connections that the plantar fascia has from the bottom of your foot up to your heel cord and calf complex. 04/23/2024
