Dinner and a show!

Sunset was just GORGEOUS here at our Milestones Equine Therapy facility.

The horses are fat and happy, even if they can’t always see me over the snowbanks 😂

They don’t know it, but they will soon have a NEW friend. Wild Rose Bordeaux “Bordeaux” will arrive in just two weeks!!!!

Bordeaux is our new 5 year old Gypsy Vanner gelding.

We can’t WAIT to welcome him home and into the MET family ♥️

Meet the newest member of the MET family. Wild Rose Bordeaux “Bordy” is a 5 year old Gypsy Vanner. This breed is bred and renowned for their gentle spirit, calm behavior, beautiful color, and remarkable intelligence. They are smaller members of the draft horse group.
The Gypsy Vanner breed is also known for being “people” horses. They enjoy loving attention and are curious and kind.
Bordeaux will be arriving in the spring and we cannot wait! ♥️

I’d like to show you a real horse tantrum! 😂 Duvall was upset because the mini horses were turned loose to graze on the lawn. (He got his turn first but then I put him back in the paddock). Poor poor Duvall. Don’t worry, I soon distracted him with apple treats. 🍎 😋

Rocky’s Alaskan Magic “Maj” doing pedestal work with an MET visitor. The pedestal is part of our Confidence Course. When a visitor helps support and guide their therapy horse through various obstacles, it builds on skills such as observation skills, empathy, social awareness, coordination, focus, large and small motor skills, timing, precision, self-soothing, facing fears and more.
It is also incredibly bonding for human and horse. It deepens the ongoing friendship with their horse. And it’s a lot of fun! 🥰
