Haven’t been doing much via snowmobiles lately since it’s still a very busy boat repair season but the first thing I’ve started back up for snowmobile ventures is the fiberglass repop Scorpion hoods/pans. Just ordered a load of materials to get started. I ordered the 38” wide glass rolls vs the 50” because of how heavy they are. Big weight difference! First item on the list….. Scorpion Range Whip hoods. I plan to make 3 as two are already sold.

As for engine stuff, I have a couple CCW’s and a 4 stud Rockwell engine in the swap trailer that are ready for pick up in central MN. I am holding out on snowmobile repairs til boats slow down. Thank you to all who buy from me.

Flyer for Pequot Lakes this coming January. I’m organizing the swap for this and plan to have the sweat shop trailer there. I’m part of the club that does the event. There’s lots of food, rides, show, etc…… I’ll be there all weekend riding sleds my shop class built

I might try and get some plug and play Cuyunas and CCW’s for this swap as well as getting some fiberglass parts made for pick up.

The cost for materials to make my fiberglass parts is rising. Soon my prices will need adjusting. There’s still a little time left to order parts at the current prices like the Scorpion Whip/Sting bellypans currently at $275 and the Scorpion Range Whip (and black Lil Whip) hoods currently at $290. I can do the 78 Scorpion blue also if they’re prepaid the full amount

Been a while so I thought I’d update.

I’ve had some snowmobiles dropped off for repairs over the summer. I’m getting back into it now with reproduction fiberglass hoods and belly pans after having to take time away over the summer.

I made the decision not to have shop class this year for varying reasons. Mostly funding. I went to Princeton MN last year and sales were slow and for the first time ever, Pequot was slow for sales also. Usually Pequot alone can pay for a school year.

What I do next year is still up in the air. In the meantime I still plan to have the sweat shop trailer at the Pequot Lakes show in January. May do Gilman MN in October also, depending on the weather. I’d be storing up funding for next year.

In the meantime I’m doing boat winterizing, snowmobile repair (CCW, Cuyuna/Rockwell powered sleds but can do others as well if parts are available), and fiberglass manufacturing (Scorpion hoods and bellypans) and also making some pieces sold by Arctic Restoration Specialties (Arctic Cat).

Have a 340 CCW piston port engine ready to use. Came out of a John Deere 400. Engine is $150, pick up in central Minneso...

I’m planning out my show plans. I’m currently looking at Wide Open Wisconsin in September but does anyone know of shows in Mn happening before the snow flies? I’m displaying these on this Scorpion brand trailer but don’t want it on salty roads.

I know about Kasson Mn but looking for others in Mn and WI to display my student’s builds

Why winter is better? No nonstop mowing!! I’d rather be CCW’ing it on an old Scorpion than mowing it with one of these 😉...
