5,700 square feet of Ecore Bounce 2 in a brain health clinic in Dallas. Just wrapped it.
Four of us drove down from Missouri with a trailer. Almost nothing about this job went the way it was drawn up.
The seaming layout we bid from showed the space as a single open floor plate, with sheets running forty five feet uninterrupted. The building is about twenty rooms. Same square footage, completely different job, and that meant re measuring the whole space before anything got installed.
The slab was outside the 3/16 inch over ten feet flatness tolerance, so it got ground and patched before adhesive went down. Even after that, variation across a forty foot run opened gaps we could not pull closed. Those got filler strips cut from our own material and welded on both sides.
950 linear feet of seam, every one routed with a groover and heat welded with vinyl rod. Nobody on this crew had ever done it before this job. We bought the welder, got trained on it, and practiced on scrap until the material tore before the weld did.
Look at the seams in these photos. That is the part I am proud of.
Posting the hard version because most install content shows the finished floor and skips everything that made it difficult. The finished floor is the easy photo. The hard part is the job.
