MTC's PRAIRIE ON FIRE, Central Indiana's first Backyard Ultra is back for the 2nd year. What is a Backyard Ultra?

Chances are, if you're here, you already know, but, in case you don't, here's a breakdown from the originators:

"Backyard ultra is a form of ultramarathon race where competitors must consecutively run the distance of 6706 meters (4.167 miles) in less than one hour. When each lap is completed, the remaining time within the hour is typically used to recover for the next hour’s race." Now, here's wh

We are just 12 hours out from the start of the 2025 Prairie On Fire!
Here is the race day schedule:

Saturday 8/6
6:00am - Remaining camp site/canopy setup continues at White River Campground

Note: You may come directly to the campground for setup the morning of, but, you'll need to move your vehicle to runner parking before the race begins.

6:00am - Minivan shuttles begin running from the runner parking area (11800 Koteewi Dr, Noblesville, IN 46060)

7:30am - Last Shuttles leave runner parking

7:40am - Pre-race discussion with Campground and Horse Stable team covering campground rules and trail rules when encountering horses.

8am - Yard 1 Begins

Friday 8/5

3pm: Packet pickup begins at Athletic Annex in Carmel (14405 Clay Terrace Blvd Ste 130, Carmel, IN 46032)

6:30pm: Canopy setup begins at White River Campground (11299 E 234th St, Cicero, IN 46034)

6:30pm: Pizza Dinner begins at White River Campground (this is sold out and only available to those who selected the option during registration).

10pm: Quiet hours begin at white river campground and setup must cease
