The Taylor Center welcomes certified nature journal educator, James Todd, for monthly instruction on the practice of nature journaling. Nature journaling is a way of slowing down and provides a reprieve from the constant communication and busy calendars of our daily lives. Nature journaling fosters curiosity, teaches observation skills, and inspires a more creative life.

Join local astronomer Doug Balogh for a monthly journey through the cosmos at Cosmically Koteewi - where you’ll enjoy an engaging discussion on astronomy and celestial wonders before observing the night sky.
Black Holes are celestial objects with gravitational fields so strong, even light cannot escape. Objects to be treated with respect, for sure. They have inspired our imaginations, and we’ve even Star-Trekked to them. Let’s explore the facts, separate the science fiction, and answer the question of what would happen if someone actually fell into one. We’ll also cover how a backyard astronomer can photograph one (well sort of).
