At Legacy Christian School, we are more than a campus—we are a family. Today, we share both gratitude and excitement as we honor Athletic Director Madison Foster and welcome Stephanie Horner into this important role.
After two years of faithful leadership, Madison Foster is stepping down as Athletic Director. While his title may be changing, his place in the Legacy family is not.
Madison has been more than a leader—he has been a constant presence on the sidelines, a voice of encouragement in the hard moments, and a champion for every student-athlete who put on a Legacy jersey. He poured himself into building not just competitive programs, but a culture where students are seen, challenged, and rooted in Christ.
“Taking on this role is one of the things I’m most proud of,” Madison shared. “Getting to walk alongside our student-athletes and this community has meant everything to me.”
His decision to step away comes from a place many in our community understand deeply—the desire to be present for his growing family and to faithfully balance the responsibilities God has placed before him.
Even in this transition, Madison made one thing clear:
“Our family is staying right here. Our kids will be walking these same halls, and our hearts will always belong to this school. Once a Grizzly, always a Grizzly.”
That truth is something we hold onto as a community—because at Legacy, people don’t just come and go… they stay, they invest, and they remain part of the story.
We are incredibly grateful for Madison’s leadership, his heart for students, and the foundation he has helped build. Over the coming weeks, he will walk alongside our new Athletic Director to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition.
We are excited to share that Stephanie Horner will be stepping into the role of Athletic Director. Known and loved by many as our school nurse, Stephanie brings a servant’s heart, a deep love for students, and a lifelong passion for athletics.
“It is with great honor and excitement that I step into this role,” Stephanie shared. “My desire is to see our student-athletes grow not only in their sport, but in their faith, character, and purpose.”
Her vision is rooted in 1 Corinthians 9:25—a reminder that while we train and compete with excellence, our ultimate goal is something far greater and eternal.
Stephanie remains committed to caring for our students as a whole—whether in the clinic or on the field—and is eager to partner with families and coaches to continue building something special.
At Legacy Christian School, athletics is about more than wins and losses. It is about shaping hearts, building character, and pointing students toward Christ.
And while seasons may change, what makes this community special never does.
