📣Just a heads up, this upcoming weekend will be extremely busy at our facility! We have nearly every NUSC team playing at NUSC. Please consider giving yourself an extra five minutes in travel time to get to your game on time.

Please sign up for a volunteer shift if you're able. Each two-hour volunteer shift qualifies for a $25 volunteer fee refund. You are welcome to volunteer for multiple shifts, but refunds are limited to one $25 refund per registered player in the league.

Concession Stand Hours Volunteer Shifts:
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 11a.m., 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., 1 p.m.- 3 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

What to expect: make popcorn, stock shelves, clean bathrooms, pick up trash, empty trashcans, sell merch, vacuum, pull weeds and be a happy face.

Volunteers must be 12 or older. Volunteers under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

NHS Girls Soccer is looking for 8 to 12 girls to be a ball girl for their home match tonight.

Girls can be of any age, but must be able to follow instructions regarding their duties for the evening. We currently only have 5 girls signed up and were hoping for more!

Game Details:

•Wednesday, September 9th, 6:45-9 p.m. (or when the game ends)
•Girls should arrive at 6:45 and meet at the north end of the scoreboard to meet with the NHS Girls team mom.
•Girls should wear their NUSC Uniform (Black).
•Girls will get in free to the game.
•Girls will be given pinnies to wear for the game
•Girls will be responsible for retrieving soccer balls that go out of play and providing balls to players along the sideline and goal line so that they can restart play quickly.

UPDATE: The second round of practices and games at NUSC are now cancelled for tonight, Wednesday, 9/02.

The heat index has not dropped as fast as predicted and is still above our threshold of 104.

Sorry for the last minute notice, but we want to err on the side of caution.

For those games on the calendar for this evening, they will be rescheduled.

UPDATE: Wednesday, September 2nd: Fields closed for first round of practices.

We are closing the fields tonight for the first round of practices from 5-6:30 p.m. due to a heat index of over 104.

The BU10 boys game scheduled for 5:30 p.m. is cancelled.

The fields will open at 6:30 p.m. tonight for the second round of practices.

The games happening after 6:30 p.m. will occur and we will have water breaks.

A heat advisory begins this Tuesday and lasts into Thursday evening for central Indiana.

Our policy at NUSC is that fields will close when the heat index reaches 104 degrees.

If we need to cancel practice this week, there could be times when the first round of practices in an evening are cancelled, but the second round can take place if the heat index falls below our threshold.

Assume the fields are open until you receive an email from NUSC notifying you they are closed and for how long.

Please send all players with a water bottle, or two, or three. Consider sending drinks with electrolytes to help players stay hydrated.

Coaches are encouraged to take frequent water breaks throughout practice for health and safety.

NHS Boys Soccer will be hosting a Community Night on Tuesday, September 1st, as they host Fishers, and they would love it if NUSC players and coaches could attend!
