Skyrock POAs

Here is a wonderful update on a very nice Skyrock pony - Skyrock Maximum Bounce (Ultimate Bounce X Suncrest Lullabye) has found his forever home in the PNW with the Wackers. Even better, he is currently on lease to his new girl who took him to her first gymkhana and he took care of her like the good boy he is. His owner writes:

"I have him leased to one of my students. This is her first lease and she went to a gaming show. first competition ever. She wasn’t pushing him as she was kinda scared & is new to gaming. Anyway he was so great & really took care of her. They love him. He’ll stay in my barn forever! He is very happy here. I think he really enjoys having a job too!"

Exactly what I love to hear about ponies we have bred. Congrats to the Wackers, Max and his new rider!!

This weekend was Bixby's first AZ show and we drove ourselves 6 hours to watch 2 classes (the third was later in the day and we were both sick with a coughy-cold thing - bleh! so we skipped out in favor of a nap). The weather was nice, breezy if hot, and there was a smaller group showing. Bixby looked great - SUPER soft hair! and pretty as always. She placed 2nd in her halter class and 5th in color. She really wasn't paying attention where she should and was having trouble standing for the judge. I am told she did her obstacles in In-Hand Trail well, but also crowded Lindsay a bit, so we certainly know what to work on before the next show in November. It is a learning curve for sure with these babies! I did get some pictures of her, which was nice, even though they were taken from the rail on my crap phone. So even though Bixby was being a toddler, she did score some points at least, so our journey has begun. Next show!! Bixby: My Diamonds Are Hot (Skyrock Diamond Edge X Redemption)

First of all, congratulations from Skyrock to everyone who made the trip and showed at the National Futurities. I saw many proud owners showing off their photos and placings, and saw many really nice looking young ponies. Good job to you all! This is a picture I took just this evening as I was stepping outside to feed. Tomodachi (Skyrock Big Tyme Bounce - Ultimate Bounce X Big Tyme Model) was standing under this gorgeous thunderhead (I wish the phone lines weren't there, but please look past them) so I got a really quick shot off before he came jogging up to the fence looking for dinner. He is a chow hound for sure, lol! We are getting some gorgeous clouds here as we are on the very fringe of the hurricanes down off the Gulf of California. Safe trip home to everyone!

It looks like a once in a lifetime pony is being offered to a new home. I don't say that lightly. Skyrock MovesLikeJagger is as broke a pony as you will ever find. Quiet, sensible, friendly and trained like the champion he is. Has been to several top shows including Congress and more than held his own. If you've followed my FB page at all, you've seen updates on him several times a year, highlighting shows, parades, events, training sessions, you name it. This is a very special pony. Cassadi Colbert is offering Jagger and also another incredibly well-trained pony, Exclusive Masterpiece. This family will make sure they go to the right folks, to make another kid's dreams come true. Cassadi has a FB page, so you can search her and it will come up. Here are a few pics that I've gotten over the years. Last 2 pics are Miss Lacey Snow, his dam and Ultimate Bounce, his sire.

Skyrock BigTymeBounce aka Tomodachi is here for a short visit while his owner, our long time POA friend Tisa, recupes from a knee injury. He loaded like a champ into our (ahem) vintage trailer and unloaded like a champ at Skyrock. He gets to stay in the suite, the very stall into which he was born several years ago. He is a BIG boy - though he looks a lot like Bouncer (daddy), he has at least a couple inches and probably 200 pounds on him (No body shaming here - I like them chonky!) He has the same VERY laid-back personality as his dad, so I expect no shenanigans. (Ultimate Bounce X Big Tyme Model)

PENDING

A Skyrock pony has come up for sale, and he would be worth a look. Max is by Ultimate Bounce and out of Suncrest Lullabye, Int. Champion Mare. I have several pics of him as a youngster, also when he was SW Regional Champion Stallion as a yearling, plus a couple of when he was around 8 if you'd like to see them. His owner writes:

✨SKYROCK MAXIMUM BOUNCE✨
Max is a 15 year old POA and is 13.2H
He is not for a little kid he does have a pony attitude but nothing major would suit best for a confident intermediate. I’m selling him because I am very busy with rodeos and just don’t have the time to ride him anymore. He is started on gaming and would advance in it if someone continues to take him that path he has done 6 years of jumping I’ve took him to performance shows and done everything from halter, showmanship,English, western, and trail he is not scared to try new things. He is a very funny little guy with a strong personality

What a great end to a show day! Skyrock MovesLikeJagger (Ultimate Bounce X Miss Lacey Snow) and his rider Rian took Champion in the Senior Pleasure Versatility class offered at this show. Owner Candy writes:

"Rian and Jagger pulled it out tonight for the Versatility win!
Jagger is literally the epitome of when excellent breeding and excellent training are combined. Jagger moves so well and all the training that Cassadi put into him has stuck like glue. We hardly show him because life is so busy; but it's all still in there. What a great pony."

Congrats Jagger and Rian!

Day 2 for Jagger and Rian. English today and Jagger embodies "He be small but mighty"! English day has been a hit so far. His owner writes:
"Rian and Jagger got the wins in Senior Showmanship, English Pony Gelding, English Pleasure, and English Equitation".

Congrats to Skyrock MovesLikeJagger and Rian!

PS - The Colberts also brought Terry (Exclusive Masterpiece) with them, and he took home his share of ribbons, too! (so sorry, Open Show Horses, lol)

Here's a little update on a Skyrock pony that's been quiet lately - Skyrock MovesLikeJagger (Ultimate Bounce X Miss Lacey Snow). He cleaned up in Showmanship and Senior Trail with his handler Rian at an Open show recently. Jagger is a show pony machine and Rian and he look sharp together!! Champion in the class for both Showmanship and Senior Trail!
