Mustangs Capture First Tournament Championship!

What a weekend for the Mustangs! Up 6–5 with the bases loaded and no outs, our pitcher shut the door in the semifinals—striking out the side to end it in style.

In the Gold Championship, the team found themselves down 8–0 but never blinked. With grit, teamwork, and heart, they stormed back for a 10–9 walk-off victory—earning the first tournament championship in our inaugural season!

Congratulations to Coaches Jeff Schrank, Miguel Contreras and Ira Johnson on an incredible job leading the team.

The MYAA Mustangs 15U gave it everything they had this weekend, going toe-to-toe with the tough Georgia Stars Baseball 16U team in an exciting 3–2 showdown! ⚾🔥

Even though the Mustangs came up just short, it was one of their strongest performances of the season — filled with solid defense, smart base running, and big-time hustle from start to finish. 💪💙

🌟 Player Spotlight: Eduardo Perez

Eduardo Perez continues to impress as both a hitter and pitcher! ⚡🎯 0.500 on-base percentage keeps him a constant threat at the plate.⚾ On the mound, he’s held a sharp 0.60 WHIP, keeping batters off balance.🧤 As a third baseman, he’s reliable, focused, and a key part of the team’s energy!

💪 Season Highlights

- Earnest Castro – Leading the lineup with a 0.902 OPS, mixing power and patience like a pro! 💣

- Zavier Hambrick – A steady force on the mound with 6⅔ innings pitched this season. ⚙️

- CJ O’Neal – A defensive anchor behind the plate with 36 total fielding chances!
