Body Karma..

Your body keeps the score.
Every stance.
Every strike.
Every repetition.

It plants a seed — in your structure, your power, your habits.

Train with precision, correct method, and purpose, and you cultivate good body karma:

efficient structure that holds,
explosive internal shock power,
skill that becomes second nature,
real Kung Fu that works when it matters.

Force it. Rush the form. Ignore the details.
The body remembers that too — tension, leaks, injury, and empty movement.

At Tiger•Dragon Martial Arts Academy we transmit authentic HKB Black Flag Kung Fu the right way.
Rooted. Precise. Explosive.
Right training → good body karma → good Kung Fu.

Unleash the Tiger.
Master the Dragon.
Ready to plant the right seeds?

In Hek Ki Boen (HKB / Black Flag Kung Fu), footwork isn’t just about moving around. It’s the science of putting your body in the most efficient position possible so you can control time, space, and energy.

It’s simple, direct, and built around one idea:
feeling is believing. Anyone else training HKB or experimenting with this kind of positioning science?

What is the nucleus of Hekki Boen?

Black Flag Kung Fu (Hek Ki Boen) is built upon a foundation of precise internal training. At the center of this training stands Sam Chian Po (also known as Saam Chin Po or the Three Battle Steps).

This foundational form serves as the basis for the entire system. Through deliberate, structured movements, practitioners develop tendon strength, proper alignment, and breath control. It cultivates the integration of mind, body, and energy—training the separation and unification of tendon and Qi.

Regular practice of Sam Chian Po builds the capacity for shock impulse power (Hoat Keng), enhances internal stability, and establishes the mechanics for maximum efficiency in time, space, and energy. It is the practice through which the system’s characteristic relaxed power and coordinated internal engine are developed.
For students of the art, consistent attention to Sam Chian Po provides the internal framework that supports all subsequent techniques and applications.

Ever wondered how a single strike can deliver explosive, bone-crushing force with almost no visible movement?

In Black Flag Kung Fu (Hek Ki Boen / HKB Eng Chun) lineage, that power is called Hoat Keng (also known as Faat Ging).

It’s the ultimate impulse/shock power — internal explosive energy generated through pure intent, precise structure, and lightning-fast energy transfer. Not brute muscle… but devastating, efficient force that hits like a hidden shockwave! 💥
Black Flag practitioners have been preserving this ancient Shaolin-rooted method for generations. It’s what separates Black Flag from other martial art styles — raw internal power that turns defense into instant offense.

Whether you’re a Wing Chun practitioner, internal arts fan, or just love real-deal Kung Fu… this is the kind of power that changes everything.

Who else trains or has experienced Fa Jin / Hoat Keng? Drop your thoughts below!

Tag your training partners and let’s spread the knowledge!

In the authentic Hek Ki Boen tradition — also known as Black Flag Kung Fu from the Southern Shaolin lineage — the Green Dragon and White Tiger are far more than beautiful symbols. They represent the living balance every serious martial artist must cultivate.

The Green Dragon (Qing Long) rises with fluid grace and heavenly wisdom. It embodies rising internal power, adaptability, and the intent-driven efficiency that defines Black Flag training.
The White Tiger (Bai Hu) descends with fierce precision and grounded strength. It channels explosive power, courage, and direct, practical technique.

Together they form the perfect yin-yang harmony — heaven and earth, flow and force, wisdom and power — the complete martial artist.

At Tiger & Dragon Martial Arts Academy, we preserve and teach this genuine Hek Ki Boen lineage. Our training integrates the Dragon’s elegance with the Tiger’s ferocity, building practical skill, internal power, discipline, and confidence.
