Who knows the name of the driver of a 1969 Corvette that participated in the Atlanta region in 2014( i.e. i the log book it has written; TUR SCCA TT. The previous owner is a member of the Atlanta region SCCA. In the log book is the sticker for tech inspection. Again not much to go on. Being it's a vintage reissue it starts in 2014.) The car was initially registered with SCCA as SCCA 35 48. The car was apparently raced in Texas and Alabama areas as well and apparently at the Talladega Grand Prix race track. Pictures of the car as it now exists are attached . Any Info appreciated William Keogh NCRS member #1610 E mail: [email protected] tel: 905-8712341

Atlanta Region SCCA Team Solo - To whomever surprised me by delivering my 2nd place ES plaque for 2019 (yes 2019) to my car while I was on the track today - Thank You! Today was my first event back since the 2019 season and I had a blast. Thank you for being an awesome SCCA club, and for
1. Keeping my trophy all this time,
2. Noticing that I was back after almost 3 years,
3. Finding my car and leaving it for me as a surprise.

I'll be back a lot more this year.

Any idea when Autox events will be up on https://atlantasolo.motorsportreg.com/ in order to register?
Hello, I have not been around for a while and I have figured out that my racing days are past. Here and there I am finding something that I no longer need and may have some small value. Problem is that I have been away for so long that I don't know what that value is. I found a AMB transponder from the early 2000s that does not need a subscription, so I guess I'm taking offers.
I feel this schedule change flew under the radar: It looks like the Rd. Atlanta round of the 2022 Hoosier SCCA Super Tour has been moved up a week and is now planned for March 11-13 (instead of 18-20).

This will finally give more ATL region workers the opportunity again to join their worker friends down south for the 12H of (Super) Sebring, March 16-19!

And - not unimportantly - it will also give out of region workers the opportunity to join their ATL region friends for the Super Tour event at Rd. Atlanta! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hello! Is the Sunday autocross event rescheduled for the 30th?
Could anyone comment on how strict they'd be on helmet rating requirements for the 'Shush' session in Road Atlanta next month? I have two helmets (one of which is certified but the other is a motorcycle DOT rated helmet) and I'm thinking of bringing a friend!

As a racing volunteer, everytime a driver says "Thanks for being here" our response should be "Thank YOU for being here - the racetrack is a really lonely place without the drivers."

Right now, the Atlanta Region 200 Endurance Race at the ARRC is looking lonely. There are fewer than 10 entries and the race is at risk of cancellation. Registration closes in 6 days.

Drivers do not need an SCCA License to drive in this event (Novices are OK) but you DO have to be a member (If you are not a member, we can help you get signed up - contact the Registrar). While there is a limit on speeds and types of cars (sorry formula car folks and GT1 drivers) chances are if you have a car you're running in another Endurance Series, it will be eligible. There will be five initial classes: the four SCCA Team Enduro Classes (https://cdn.connectsites.net/user_files/scca/downloads/000/066/202/2023_Team_Enduro_Rules_020923.pdf?1675953568) + an "Exhibition" class for cars which fit the speed range, but don't meet the "Team Enduro" classes. (E.g., a Spec Miata on Hoosiers). If five or more cars enter from an existing SCCA class (Spec Miata, ITA, etc.) then those cars will "bump" out of exhibition and into their own class.

There will be a 1 Hour practice session on Saturday, November 4th after the ARRC Championship Races and a 3.5 Hour Race on Sunday, November 5th.

Entry fee is $450, or $350 for any entrant that is also entered in an ARRC Championship Race. This is an incredibly low rate for that much track time. Registration is open at https://msreg.com/2023ARRCAtlanta.

If you have any questions - or comments as to WHY you are not interested in this event, email [email protected] or [email protected].

Atlanta Region members, the 2023 Motul Petit Le Mans is scheduled for October 11-14 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. As you may know Atlanta Region provides Corner Worker and other Race Admin services for this event. The region is in need of a few golf carts for the purposes of transporting workers, food, water, and ice to worker stations and other locations around Road Atlanta. We are reaching out to the membership to see if anyone has a golf cart or golf carts that we could use or if you would be willing to drive and deliver food, water and ice. We haven't worked out a number yet, but we may be able to provide compensation with guest passes. If you are interested please contact Odie O'Dell at [email protected] or Clark McInnis at [email protected].

Our Story

The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is the premier motorsports organization in the United States for amateur motorsports. Since 1944, the SCCA has championed one mission: To bring motorsports to the masses of American men and women who are passionate about automobiles. From National Championships to Regional events, professional or amateur, we exist to organize, support, and develop motorsports experiences that provide outlet for you to get out of the armchair and into the action.

In the Atlanta Region, we operate events that range from low-speed driver education to high-speed, on-track experiences. We encourage anyone with an interest in cars to participate, whether it's driving or as a volunteer helping to run our events.

You donโ€™t need to own a racecar. You donโ€™t need to be mechanically inclined. You just have to enjoy the atmosphere of motorsports. Donโ€™t just sit in the grandstands or watch on TV. Become a part of the action with others in your local area!
