There are so many different types of agencies and contracts that are available to you and if you do not do your research you may end up in the wrong situations ❗️

I don’t believe that a modeling agency is necessary to be successful in the modeling industry

The importance of developing a bulletproof mindset in modeling. 

It’s not always an easy industry to be in. I think we can all agree on that one. 

The main reason for this is because it’s a super competitive industry… Being told no over and over again can be hard to take.

But of course, you then start to question and critique yourself too… and that inner critic starts picking at your faults and beating you down. 

Leading to burnout, anxiety or depression, to name a few. 

🔥This is why it’s so, so important we work on our mindset every single day!🔥 

Don’t forget, your mind is your most powerful tool. So much of your success depends on your mindset.

Every single one of us is totally unique. Every single one of us has our own style.

And that’s beautiful. 

But it also means that even though you may be an amazing fit for one shoot...it doesn’t mean you’re going to be the right fit for every shoot. And that’s totally okay.

You’re not alone. I used to really struggle with my self-esteem.

I was pretty young when I got into modeling, like a lot of girls are these days. 

But, I’ll be honest, in the early stages, I struggled. 

I struggled being judged for the way I looked.

I was battling with insecurities and taking a lot to heart.

The rejection after rejection would break my heart. 

Why am I sharing all of this with you?

Because I want you to know that we ALL go through these things. 

But not only this, it’s so important to remember the power of your mindset and personal development.  

Rejection is hard to take at the best of times, even when we 100% know our worth and have worked on our mindset.

But for me, since being in the modeling industry for five years, I’ve learnt just how important it is that we do the inner work. 

Since discovering the power of my mindset… my self-worth, self-esteem and self-confidence has skyrocketed…And as a result, I started attracting more new and exciting opportunities.  

In the beginning phases, this is so important. In fact, in these early stages, working on your mindset is waaay more important than all of the operational stuff.

Your facial expressions and the use of them will define your chances of long-lasting success in the modeling industry. If you are shooting a campaign or commercial, you have to be perfect with your facial expressions.

In almost every modeling assignment, photographers need their models to convey some kind of emotion through their facial expression or body position.

✨You can work on facial expressions by practising them in a mirror.

Everything you feel is reflected in your face, and models need to be able to display all the major emotions.

✨Make a list of key emotions (love, hate, sorrow, joy etc.) and practise expressing each emotion in front of a mirror.

After you have practised for a while, try out your skills on a friend and see if they can tell what emotion you are conveying.
