Rapsci moved to my backyard in 2020, took it's first run in 2022, and in 2024 moved to a temporary home in Willoughby Spit. She's going to get more water time this summer 🌞!

Free Spirit is for sale after 32 years of enjoyment. If you are looking for a liveaboard or just plain comfortable cruiser, this is the boat for you! With a 3.6” draft, this is a boat that can go almost anywhere. And with the thickness of the fiberglass hull, even if you do go aground, you probably won’t hurt a thing. Free Spirit is 40 long and has a beam of 14 ft. which makes for very comfortable cruising. I call it our” water Winnebago”. She has a 50 HP Chrysler-Nissen diesel engine (often used in fork lifts)that can cruise on ¾ of a gallon per hour doing 7 knots. The sails are in good condition with roller furling jib. She is a 1977, built when they didn’t know how much fiberglass to use so they used a lot! Her hull is 2 inches thick. We’ve owned and loved her 32 years but now in our 70’s, we just don’t take her out much anymore. She has given us many adventures. Sailed up and down the Florida coast and taken several trips to the Bahamas. Her mast is 43.6 so we have been able to cross Florida to the East Coast and never had to lower her mast for a bridge. It is a self- stepping mast but you would need several helpers to lower and raise her. She will probably need new bottom paint as we haven’t pulled her out in a while. We just have been having the bottom cleaned. We are still using the old Ben- Mar auto pilot and she has never let us down even in the worst of storms. We are asking $54,900. 727-809-9929 Jerry
