At Running Etc., we love animals. Each Monday we highlight a dog or cat from a local rescue shelter. We hope to increase the networking for animals in need of a forever home. You might even find a wonderful running buddy, or more importantly, a terrific family member.

Seymour Butts does it with quiet patience, gentle eyes, and a love so genuine it feels almost impossible for such a tiny kitten to hold.

Born on April 5, 2026, this handsome light gold-and-gray tabby has the soul of an old friend wrapped up in a playful kitten's body. While he'll happily chase feather wands and explore every corner of the room, what he wants most is simple: to love and be loved.

Meet Beau & Joy!

Some pairs are simply meant to be together... and Beau and Joy are one of those pairs.
These adorable 3-month-old siblings have been together since birth and balance each other perfectly. Beau is the outgoing, affectionate big brother who takes the lead, while Joy is the gentle, thoughtful little sister who finds comfort knowing Beau is by her side. Together, they're as perfect a match as peanut butter and jelly.

Mini and Madi are an adorable bonded pair of 3-month-old tortie sisters who have spent their entire lives side by side. They balance each other perfectly and are looking for a forever home where they can continue growing, playing, and snuggling together.

A huge congratulations to our amazing Emily for taking on the Windsor Castle 10 Hour last weekend!

Battling the heat from start to finish, Emily powered her way to 1st female and an incredible 2nd overall finish! She logged 17 laps and 52.7 miles. We couldn’t be more proud of her all-around awesomeness. Congratulations, Emily! 🎉👏
