I don’t think you could wrap up our summer calendar any better! Today was our last official charter before cobia season ends. We had Lawrence, Richard, Mike, Bryan, and James with us today. Thankfully the Cobias played nice today and was blessed for quick work. We moved on and harvested Spanish, blues, ribbonfish, spot, and croaker to fill the box. Great day for a family trip!!

Thank you to all of our clients who fished with us this summer! We enjoyed seeing new and familiar faces, and always having the opportunity to take you fishing. 110% is always there on the MarVa boat. Our calendar will be limited in the fall, but if you’d like to go, please visit our website to see our available dates. And as always, it’s never too early to book for next summer!

MASSIVE photo dump! We’ve been busy!! Lots of returning clients in these pictures and videos. We can’t thank them enough for joining. We’ve seen everything August always has in store for us… Ray mats, pods on sharks, free swimming pods… you name it! We’ve been having a ball out there and so have our groups! Even added some trigger fish to the mix as well!

Thank you to the following groups over the week:
- Bill, Daniel and Michael, catching Cobias!
- Michael and his grandson Colton, bottom fishing on the reef!
- Luke and Joey, catching Cobias! Joey crushed it!
- Shannon, Connor, and Steve: we put to use the sheep reaper rods and caught Cobias!
- Merle and Jerry: Cobias on the fly! They’re hooked!!
- Kyle, Easton, and Dillon throwing at their own fish! PODS!

What a week. Incredibly grateful for another opportunity to film with Captain George Gozdz on Unfathomed 2027! 2022 was a success, and the 2027 episode will be incredible, if not better. Thank you to everyone for the support not only yesterday, but the whole season. We have a special fishery and extremely grateful for the opportunity to showcase it. It was great to catch up and see you back George!!

Most trips you will see David with us looking for the biggest fish we possibly can to catch. On Tuesday, it was a completely different change in pace! He brought his two boys Henry and Ryan, and we let them have a ball with the bottom fish! We love a good father-son bonding day and getting the kids hooked on fishing!

Young guns put the $MACK down on some Cobias on Sunday! Spotting, Casting, Hooking, and Netting their own fish! Easton came back and brought his boys Scotty, DC and Mr. Scott. They landed 6 total!

We’ve been quiet, but for good reasons! Last week, an incredible event was held right in our backyard. STACK Infracture’s nonprofit organization Hero’s of the Sea hosted their annual dinner and fishing derby, to raise money directly focusing on the United States Coast Guard. 27 talented charter boat captains picked up 100 guests from several different corporate companies all over the country that donated money to the fundraiser. This has been a 20 year fundraiser on the west coast, and this was the first annual on the east coast. The corporate money raised was 2 million dollars, and civilian fundraising added an additional 65,000! This beat the west coast record by 700,000 dollars!

On Thursday, our 27 vessel fleet fished hard with some tough fishing, but there was lots of success amongst our boats. Congratulations to Josh Bourne (biggest cobia), Travis Kemp (heaviest stringer), Chris Martin (first keeper cobia) and Richard Wasdin (biggest sheepshead)!

On day 2, STACK Infrastructure donated 4 charter boats to take active duty men and women in the coast guard fishing. A fantastic day was had with these folks catching several fish on each vessel! Travis’ crew caught a 59.5” fish, and MarVa Crew caught a 57.5” fish! Tripp and I took the event coordinators before they took off for their flight home, and they tugged on 5 fish!

We look forward to hosting the event again in the future! Many thanks to our great 27 boats who came from all over the bay to help!

Quick spin with my neighbor, Brad and his son, Teddy! Just a couple opportunities, but we had enough to make it a short trip! Teddy was fired up the whole time and was stoked to see some big fish hit the deck! We went home with a 54 and a 48!
