SEC Week 6 Review

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK- Cale Garret, LB, Mizzou - - - 2 ints, 5 tackles
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK- Joe Burrows, QB, LSU 27/34 344 yards, 5td's, 1 int, 42 rush, 1 TD

SEC Conference Power Rankings

1. Alabama- Nick Saban made sure his players knew the schedule was idle, but the players weren't because the SEC is loaded 5-0(2-0)
2. Georgia- The Bulldogs earn the second spot over LSU and Florida because Notre Dame looks better than Texas or Auburn 5-0(2-0)
3. Florida- So your saying the east could be as top heavy as the West. A win by Florida over LSU will make a good case for the East Division 6-0(3-0)
4. LSU- Since the Tigers play in the SEC they wont be getting breaks in competition. Joe Burrows is a legit Heisman candidate. 5-0(1-0)
5. Auburn- When you still have LSU, Georgia, and Alabama on the schedule you must not panic. Still very much alive for CFP. 5-1(2-1)
6. Texas AM- The Aggie's only two losses are to Clemson and Auburn, who WERE undefeated. Still have a hell of a schedule to go. 3-2(1-1)
7. Ole Miss- The Rebels are not the team from Mississippi that I thought would be in the better half of the rankings at this point 3-3(2-1)
8. Missouri-Unfortunately the Tigers can only play spoiler. Ill tell you what they cant play, THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 4-1(1-0)
9. Mississippi St- The Bulldogs were behind the decent expectations before SEC play even started, losing to KSTATE at home. 3-2(1-1)
10. South Carolina- The rivalry with Clemson might need to be put on hold until the SEC comes back to earth with its talent level 2-3(1-1)
11. Arkansas- In the SEC its kill or be killed. The hogs are tied and left for dead after blowing a great opportunity against A&M 2-3(0-2)
12. Kentucky- Well it could be worse. Like Tennessee type of bad. I mean they did just win 10 games last year under Mike Stoops 2-3(0-3)
13. Tennessee- Well it could be worse. Like Vanderbilt type of bad. What's that old saying in TN? If you aint first, your last! 1-4(0-2)
14. Vanderbilt- Consistency is key, right? Vanderbilt consistently is in this position of the rankings. Be good or be good at it. 1-4(0-3)

Big 10 Week 6 Review

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Shakka Toney, DE , Penn State 3.0 Sacks on 4 tackles
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Rodney Smith, RB, Minnesota 24 car, 211 yds, 1TD

Big 10 Conference Power Rankings

1. Ohio State- Dominant win from start to finish vs Sparty and Michigan State. Look like one of the most complete teams in CFB.
2. Wisconsin- They are more than the favorites to wint the West Division. Almost guarenteed after seeing Iowa loss to Michigan
3. Penn State- Its only right to put a team here that’s won 85-7 its last 2 Big 10 games, and undefeated still before Michigan
4. Michigan- Nice defense Wolverines…You decided to show up AFTER the pundits decided your whole team probably sucked?
5. Iowa - Any chance of making the Title game this season will rest on the pressure of running the tabe and beating Wisconsin.
6. Michigan State- Ohio State is that good, where blowing out Michigan State isnt even a bad mark on the Spartans. . But ASU?
7. Minnesota- Thank you Golden Gophers for not being those guys. You know, the undefeated but only beat the Illini by 4 type.
8. Nebraska- I guess. I mean by 8th in the rankings its not about how good, its about how bad. Cornhuskers havent lost 59-0
9. Maryland- Id be making money if I just picked the Maryland Terps game be a blowout either way. Wins 76-0 Losses 0- 59?
10. Northwestern- Unfortunatly the defense knows the game is over after the other team scores 10 points. Truth hurts
11. Purdue- Things started good, against Vandy…Ended sonn after against TCU. There is always next year Boiler Makers!
12. Indiana- Ateast they got Notre Dame to be excited about in the Hoosier State. Wait…whose your team? The Hoosiers.
13. Illinois- I refuse, I will not under any circustances put Rutgers ahead of anyone inn any ranking until it apologizes to its fans.
14. Rutgers- It couldn't get worse for any football program in the country. Your not getting Les Miles to come here and save you.

PAC 12 Week 6 Review

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Avery Roberts, LB, Oregon State 8 Tackles, 3 TFL, 1 sack 1 pass def
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Khalil Tate, Qb, Arizona Wildcats 3 Passing TDs, 404 yards Passing, 75 %com

PAC 12 CONFERENCE POWER RANKING

1. Oregon- The entire conference is in a tough situation as far as getting a bid into the playoffs for the first time. Go Ducks 4-1(2-0)
2. Arizona- Wildcat Nation is just as shocked as the rest of the Pac 12 to be in sole Possession of first place after losing 1st Game 4-1(2-0)
3. USC- The top of the conference is not as heavy as we originally thought, but the QB depth is still one unmatched by anyone. 3-2(2-1)
4. Washington- Is it considered over if you already have 2 losses in conference the first week of October. But is it really over? 4-2(1-2)
5. Utah- The Utes of Utah are trying to ruin expectations and build greater ones at the same time. Long ways to go 4-1(1-1)
6. Arizona State- The way they're defense played against Michigan State would be enough to carry em to a PAC 12 Title 4-1(1-1)
7. California- What a drop off in production for this crew. Ranked at #15 just 2 weeks ago, now they find themselves unranked 4-2(1-2)
8. Stanford- Hey, keep winning games against very quality opponents and your bound to shoot up these rankings. 3-3(2-2)
9. Washington State- See what happens when you give Mike Leach some confidence. He whiffs on his expectations. 3-2(0-2)
10. Colorado- The Buffalos are probably one of the hardest teams to figure out in the FBS. Could end up 3rd or 10th in conference 3-2(1-1)
11. Oregon State- Finally the Beavers can clame they are not in the conferences basement….for the time being that is. 2-3(1-1)
12. UCLA- Im sure that when Chip Kelly got hired he pitched the A.D. on being better than Oregon State and failed at that so far 1-5(1-2)

ACC Week 6 Review

Defensive Player of the Week Jermaine Waller, DB, Virginia Tech 2ints, 26 yards, 5 tackles, .5 sack
Offensive Player of the Week N'Kosi Perry, QB, MiamiFL 28/47 422 yds, 4td,1int

ACC Conference Power Rankings

1. Clemson- No game this week, but they definatly feel the shade being thrown and wont lose any in2019. Really bold pick huh?
2. Wake Forest- Its been a long time since the Demon Decons were this good when the rest of the ACC was this bad. But Clemson...
3. Virginia-The likely contender to the Tigers in the ACC Championship game really need to improve on the offensive side to hang.
4. Pittsburgh- The Panthers whole season will be hinged on the fact that they knocked of UCF, unless they make it to Charlotte
5. North Carolina- Almost wont cut it for a fan base eager to see success in football. Mack Brown couldn’t make magic happen
6. Florida State- Just cant forget about the fact that UL Monroe was a missed XP from possibly upsetting the Seminoles in FL
7. NC State- The talent is there, the coaching staff is a proven won. Surely the Wolfpack will produce as they progress this year
8. Syracuse- How did this team go from preseason top 25 to bottom half of maybe the worst conference among the Power 5?
9. Miami- Yes they lost to Virginia Tech which was shocking, but they are more talented. Cant throw 3 first quarter picks. Period
10. Louisville- Gone are the days of a Heisman winner as the quarterback. But for one night they sure looked like they had one
11. Duke- Yes this is a slight low for the Blue Devils after their recent success. But the depth will be an issue as this season goes.
12. Virginia Tech- At the moment, Hokies fans have strong faith they will be going Bowling. I would say not, but you never know
13. Georgia Tech- The unfortunate thing for the Yellow Jackets is they still must play their in state rival Georgia.
14. Boston College- It could always be worse and…actually it cant be worse than losing at home to Kansas led by Les Miles

Moot Point (Sports) Spread
Week 6 of 2019 NCAA Football
Conference by conference predictions
Group of 5
• USF at UCONN 12 pm ET Uconn is abysmal yet again this season. If you thought it could not get of a worse as a whole for the Huskies, then you were wrong. Maybe the defense can stop somebody someday. USF will take this game by at least 21 in my opinion. PICK- USF -10.5
• Tulane at Army 12 pm ET Not going to be one of those guys that points out how bad Michigan might actually be after the Wisconsin game. Really hard to pick a winner with two solid teams here. Auburn was a much tougher opponent to play than Michigan, it seems. Tulane held their own for awhile before Auburn took control with their talent. PICK – TULANE (-2.5)
• Air Force at Navy 3:30pm ET This is the first time I can remember in my relatively short life where the 3 Service Academy schools were this good at the same time. Navy might be the worst of the 3 teams, after owning Air Force and Army for over a decade. Air Force has already won against in-state rival Colorado and lost to undefeated Boise by 1 touchdown.
• Memphis at UL-Monroe 3;45pm ET Its not really a matter of who is going to win this game but a question of c will this game be won? Will Memphis play down to the competition. UL Monroe is a missed XP from beating Florida State BUT Memphis DID beat Ole Miss in their first game of the season. PICK MEMPHIS (-14.5)
• Tulsa at SMU 7;30pm ET The Tulsa defense is underrated, but the offense is not as explosive as it has been in years past. Now the Hurricanes would be a good pick if this game was in Tulsa. But that means I think Tulsa would cover the points but lose, because home field advantage isn’t really a thing in Tulsa. PICK- TULSA (+12)
ACC
• Boston College at Louisville- 12pm ET If the Golden Eagles did not lose at home to the Kansas Jayhawks, who had just lost at home to Coastal Carolina, then I would be on the fence with this one. Louisville has the least amount of talent they have had in a long time. Wont be favored to win much but will win this week and cover the 4 points. PICK L’VILLE (-4)
• Virginia Tech at Miami(FL) 3:30pm ET The talent level for the Hokies is similar to where Louisville is currently at. Unfortunately the team they are facing is way more talented than Boston College The spread of 14 points is steep. But take Miami and those points at home against a team with no confidence in themselves . PICK- MIAMI(-14)
• North Carolina at Georgia Tech 4pm ET Tar Heel country must be feeling antsy this weekend after nearly knocking off the #1 team and defending National Champs in Clemson. Losses can motivate teams to play with more passion and having Georgia Tech will help get them over 2 losses in a row. Take UNC and the points. PICK UNC (-10.5)
• Pittsburgh at Duke 8pm ET The 4 point spread in favor of Duke is certainly a good feeling amongst Blue Devil fans. Especially since this is the Panthers team that beat UCF to end their attempt at a repeat undefeated season. Then again, the same UCF team lost again to CInncy last night. Vegas knows what they are doing on this one. PICK DUKE -4

Big 10
• #14 Iowa at #19 Michigan 12pm ET -3,5 points is basically asking if the straight up is going to be Iowa or Michigan. Why not a push? I would love to pick Michigan because that’s the team that will prove I don’t know what I am talking about. But I will take Iowa only because they’re quarterback is a bit better than Michigan’s plus Iowa had a real defense. PICK IOWA +3.5
• Kent State at Wisconsin 12pm ET Wisconsin will cover the spread and dominate the inferior opponents as they have done so far this season. Just ask the Wolverines. PICK WISCONSIN -35
• Maryland at Rutgers 12pm ET Two touchdown favorites for a team that just lost its last game 59-0 is absurd. Unless your playing Rutgers. Lucky you Maryland. PICK MARYLAND -14
• Purdue at Penn State 12pm ET The Nittany Lions are better than anyone gives them credit for. They wont get another shutout in conference play like they did last week PICK PENN STATE -28
• Illinois at Minnesota 12pm ET I don’t think Minnesota is nearly as inferior as Illinois is. I just think the Illini feel the disrespect and will play it closer than expected. ILLINI + 14
• Michigan State at Ohio State 7:30pm ET Why is this game on primetime? Because Dantoni coaches for Michigan State and has beaten Ohio State more than once. Not this time. Not even close. PICK OHIO STATE – 20.5
Big 12
• T.C.U. at Iowa State 12pm ET Iowa State is favored by 3.5 points in this won. I believe Iowa State covers and obviously that would mean the outright victory as well. PICK IOWA STATE -3.5
• Oklahoma State at Texas Tech 12pm ET The Cowbyoys are favored to win by 10 points against conference foe Texas Tech, on the road. Hubbard leads the country in rushing yards and Wallace leads the nation in receiving yards. Very impressive for a “rebuilding” program. PICK OSU -10
• Oklahoma at Kansas 12pm ET Jalen Hurts is rolling right now. Anyone who is playing quarterback for OU is about as sure of a bet one could have. Unless its 33.5. OU wins outright and fairly easily, but the Mad Hatter inherited a team that has been keeping these matchups surprisingly close in recent years. PICK KANSAS +33.5
• Texas at West Virginia 3:30 ET The Mountaineers are not on a lot of peoples list as potential upsets this week. With Red River rivalry coming I think the Longhorns will be looking past the Mountaineers. Unfortunately the crowd in Morgantown, WV will not be enough to keep the talent of Texas at bay for a full 4 quarters and Texas covers the 10 point Spread. PICK TEXAS -10
• Baylor at Kansas State 3:30ET The spread is just one point here for Kansas State, and its most likely the fact that they are the home team. Ill trust the momentum of these two teams coming into this one and go against Vegas. Take the undefeated Bears folks. BAYLOR +1

10/01/2019

Every team in the entire AFC conference has a 2-2 record or worse, except for New England, Kansas City, and Buffalo. The latter of the three lost on Sunday. Albeit to the first team mentioned, but the offense did not make the necessary plays to win an NFL game at home. Parity is clearly still to come for the rest of the conference…or is it. Exactly half of the teams (8) are sitting at 2-2 after the first quarter of the season. It is truly surprising that there is also 5 teams who have failed to register a victory so far in the AFC alone.
Thing are a bit difference in the other major NFL conference. San Francisco is the lone unbeaten team, leading the West division ahead of Seattle and the LA Rams. Granted the Niners had a bye week to ensure their record remained unblemished. The Cowboys and Rams fell from the ranks of undefeated teams on Sunday. 8 of the 16 teams are sitting at the quarter point with just one loss or fewer. Just 3 teams from this conference are currently experiencing losing records. One of those 3 teams is shocking, to say the least. Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons find themselves behind the 8 ball early on, having just a 1-3 record so far.
The month of October is sure to create some separation finally. Division rivalries will be played, as well as some good primetime matchups. In the AFC South division every there is an awkward 4 way tie among all the teams, tied at 2-2. The biggest divisional lead that any team has already is Kansas City in the AFC West. Their 4-0 start is coupled with a surprisingly slow start for the LA Chargers and a decent start for the Raiders, both of whom are 2-2. The 2 game lead is sure to get even bigger with the impressive play of Mahomes so far. He has outplayed his MVP season from last year.
