4. To stress the importance of academic excellence as it relates to competitive sports and to a successful future, and assisting all of our players in obtaining college scholarships. The Oklahoma Twisters organization was re-established 15 years ago by head coach Chris King and former Director Chuck Downs for the specific purpose of developing a competitive youth fast-pitch softball program with goals to develop players capable of competing at the highest levels in the country, and with the demonstrated skills necessary to earn a college scholarship. With our dedicated coaches, volunteer staff and state of the art 3000 square foot indoor training facility, our athletes grow by conducting challenging practices and playing the highest level of competition available. However, reaching these goals must be accomplished by instilling character, self-esteem, confidence and sportsmanship with the young athlete. “THERE CAN BE NO VICTORY WITHOUT INTEGRITY”!
