Peter Burwash

An old post with a few thoughts on the late Peter Burwash.

Peter Burwash was the first headliner to contact me in regard to our unique program for tennis teachers. Peter called to make arrangements to visit on his own nickel. Based on his generous offer to donate his time, we had a significant number of other accomplished educators follow his lead and visit our program. Following Peter's initial visit, his staff conducted an annual workshop on our campus throughout the 1980's.

Peter is the founder of PBI; an international tennis management company. Peter, a former college hockey player and Canadian Davis Cupper, may be the most well-traveled person in tennis. Currently, his company manages tennis programs in over twenty countries around the world. Peter has played and/or taught tennis in 134 countries.

The author of 10 books, he would be considered a leading pioneer in the tennis-teaching industry. I, along with all the coaches I have trained, use a long list of his concepts and creative ideas.
