The Alternative Activity Center's mission is to prevent and eliminate juvenile delinquency. This mission will be accomplished by providing middle school and high school students with activities that will encourage them to use social skills and knowledge as a means to enhance their lives. The center will offer a wide variety of activities such as music, dance, and basketball. There will also be a tutoring center which will provide homework assistance. The above mentioned services will be provided daily after-school during the school year and throughout the summer. The program will also have community leaders come out and speak to the students about the options that they have available for a bright and successful future.

Ultimately the center will offer a scholarship to students that show growth and determination. Also, the aim is to have the students that participate in basketball to compete as well as becoming college ready. Eventually we are hoping to have college coaches recruit students from the center.
