Hello, everyone! Chef Bob here. I wanted to make this post to say thank you to all of you who have supported me and Magnolia for the nearly 14 years that I've been here.
On behalf of myself and my extraordinary crew--Sous Chef Jacques and Sous Chef Maria--it has been our privilege to cook for you, and we hope that you enjoyed what we did. Those two have been my rock and stood by me through these trying times, so I wouldn't have to face it alone. The quality of their work, and the respect I have for them, is immeasurable.
My co-workers throughout Magnolia are people of the highest caliber, and they deserve better than what we ended up with. Christina and Carrie, especially, deserve the utmost praise, not only for constantly having my back and allowing me to flourish, but for doing their damndest to try to keep everything going. It was a good gamble. Perhaps it was worth it.
Unfortunately, things didn't break our way, but know that my time at Magnolia has been the highlight of my career. It's the end of a chapter, not the story. Wherever we all end up, we'll take the Magnolia spirit with us. And if the Mag does rise like a phoenix someday, I hope I get to see it again from the inside.
