2007 with the OGs! It’s been a long time! 🥋

Who knew that Master Eddie, one of the true pioneers of No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, would go on to create such an indelible legacy, literally paving the way for so many of us?

I always knew I wanted to reach a high level of proficiency in his art. The Headquarters system completely rewired my thought process, not only in how I approach Jiu-Jitsu, but also in how I teach it.

Moving forward, training under the super-technical Compella took me into new territory, helping me refine my game and develop the skills necessary to earn my 10th Planet black belt.

I’m incredibly grateful for my humble beginnings, the people who helped shape my journey, and the lessons learned along the way. And above all, I’m grateful for the destination: earning my black belt from Erik D. Cruz 🇵🇷🇺🇸✊🏽✊🏿✊🏻

It’s been a long road, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Respect to the OGs who paved the way, the professors who pushed me forward, and everyone who has been part of this journey. 🙏🖤

🥋🖤 AFTER ALL THESE YEARS… I FINALLY DID IT!

What a journey it’s been. Years of training, sacrifice, ups and downs, and never giving up. Today, I’m proud to say I’ve achieved my 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt!
First, a huge thank you to Erik D. Cruz 🇵🇷🇺🇸✊🏽✊🏿✊🏻 and Lila Smadja-Cruz for your guidance, support, and belief in me. I’m truly grateful.

In the words of , “It’s a huge honor for me!” 🙏

To all my 10pPasadena training partners, thank you for being part of this journey. We’ve shared a lot of hard rounds and great memories along the way.

And to my NoHo MMA family — thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my students who came out to support me. That meant the world to me. ❤️

This belt represents so much more than a rank. It represents years of dedication, resilience, and a commitment to keep moving forward.

Never stop believing in yourself. No matter how long the road is, keep going. You never know what you’re capable of until you refuse to quit.
