Building custom bikes is one of our favorite things. Taking a killer frame set and adding the flair that makes it yours creates an even more unique riding experience. If cars are metonymy’s of culture or personality, then so are bicycles. And as with most anything custom made a vision can start to add up.
Like take this Wilde Bicycle Co. Spelljammer for example. I had a bar end shifter and a few shiny bits. I needed a frame to put them one. Well one thing led to another and now my bar end shifter and Zeitgeist are the only pieces of parts bin that is on this bike. In the words of Vonnegut….so it goes.
What’s the craziest path from a part you had laying around to a custom build that lead you to that road less traveled? I can’t be the only one, yeah?
