Carefree Tennis offers services for tennis, basketball, and pickleball for juniors and adults.

Carefree Racquet Club is Long Island's premier indoor tennis facility with 7 indoor air conditioned nova surface courts, 4 pickleball courts and 2 half court basketball courts. We offer tennis, pickleball, and basketball programs for both adults and juniors and never charge extra membership fees to play here.

Ahead of this holiday season, we are partnering with Long Island Cares as an official Food Drive Dropoff Location. Beginning this Wednesday, 10/28, please bring in non-perishable food items, pet food, baby food and diapers, and/or essential personal care items to us and drop them off in a designated box found in our lobby. At the conclusion of the drive, we will drop off all items to Long Island Cares who will distribute them to the many local programs, soup kitchens and food pantries they work with. You will also have the opportunity to donate directly to them via QR code. In the next slide, we are sharing a flyer directly from LI Cares with their most needed items. Congratulations to all 2026 award winners and honorees at the annual USTA LI Region Awards tonight! A handful of recipients are from Carefree this year including Walter, who has made such a meaningful and impactful career as a pro and coach. We and so many of our members are so grateful to have shared the court with him - no one is more deserving of this honor! Vanessa has dedicated so much time and effort to local tennis programs, she has done great work with the Baldwin PAL. Thank you to longtime Carefree captains Terry and Patty, who had a great run to nationals this year with their 8.0 mixed team!

What an amazing day at the US Open our Carefree juniors had! On Sept. 7th, coaches Lisa and Catherine took 12 campers to do a hitting demonstration in Louis Armstrong Stadium ahead of the 4th Round matchup between 2026 Roland Garros Champion Mirra Andreeva and Anastasia Potapova. Mikaela Hunker was selected to do the coin toss and got to meet & pose with the players! Thank you again to the USTA for the photos and amazing opportunity!

Happy ! Featured in this post is longtime Carefree player Andrei Taylor and his wife, Virginia, who have loyally spent their time with us over 50 years! They are shown lounging in booths in what is now our viewing room, and picking up balls in a hopper that is a testament to the longevity of good equipment. Andrei is not only a great play but a delight to have at our club and we are grateful for his family’s longtime patronage 😊

A very exciting afternoon for one of our most promising juniors and dedicated tennis fan, Alex Bianco! Alex was chosen by USTA Eastern to administer the coin toss ahead of the women’s wheelchair singles US Open final, where no. 1 seed Yui Kamiji of Japan defeated no. 2 seed Diede de Groot of the Netherlands 6-2, 1-6, 6-3. Alex then made her way into Arthur Ashe, catching the thrilling 3 set victory of newly anointed World No. 1 Elena Rybakina, who captured her first US Open title over Aryna Sabalenka. Congrats Alex!!!
