🌱🏌️ HAPPY THANK A SUPERINTENDENT DAY! 🏌️🌱
Being a Golf Course Superintendent is one of those jobs where if we’re doing it right, most people never see what we do.
The work starts long before the first golfer tees off. Early mornings. Long days. Heat, cold, rain, irrigation problems, equipment breakdowns, disease, weeds, fertility, mowing, spraying, aerifying, and a thousand decisions that have to be made every day to keep the golf course moving in the right direction.
And while the superintendent may be responsible for the plan, none of it happens without a great crew. The people who show up every morning, work hard, take pride in what they do, and understand that the little things matter — they're the ones who make the vision become reality.
I'm proud of the work we do at Azalea Sands Golf Club and especially proud of the team that helps make it happen.
So today, on GCSAA Thank a Superintendent Day, I want to recognize all the superintendents and turf professionals who dedicate their lives to this crazy, rewarding profession.
And to my crew at Azalea Sands — thank you. I couldn't do it without you. 🌱💪
