You don't need to be at Rock Bottom to want change and you don't need to wait to be at such a low point that you're forced to make a change. Change happens daily. Change makes us better and It challenges us.
Change forces us to get out of our Comfort zones and to see exactly what we are made of and with every challenge we get tougher, we get stronger, we develop our character, and surprise ourselves with just what we can achieve.
Work ethic is everything. The work you put in is in direct correlation to the results that you see and to just how much you evolve
Being grateful and feeling blessed for where you are at every moment is key, but you should always strive to evolve.

Monday Does Not Need Drama

You do not need to punish yourself for the weekend.

Get back to your normal meals.

Drink your water.

Walk.

Train according to schedule.

One solid Monday gets momentum moving again.

Walking is one of the best ways to burn fat — but it is not the fastest. If you are short on time try this instead

Interval training. Here is exactly how it works:

Raise your heart rate to about 70% of your max for anywhere from 20 seconds to a few minutes, then rest — but do not stop completely. Use that rest period as active recovery for the same amount of time or a little longer.

For example — go hard for 30 seconds, recover for 30 to 60 seconds, and repeat.

You can do this for as little as 10 to 30 minutes, two to three times per week, and you do not need any equipment. Use running, brisk walking, or bodyweight exercises like lunges, squats, jumping jacks, or burpees.

Here is why it works so well:

Short bursts of elevated intensity deliver a massive stimulus in a short amount of time. The benefits include burning more calories, improving cardiovascular fitness, boosting your VO2 max, supporting better blood sugar control, lowering blood pressure, and improving your ability to maintain muscle while losing fat.

Start with just 10 minutes two to three times per week and gradually build from there.

Save this and try it this week.

When fitness stops being something you’re trying to do and starts becoming part of who you are, something powerful happens.

Instead of:
“I need to start working out.”
You become: “I’m a woman who trains.”

Instead of:
“I should eat more protein.”
You become: “I fuel my body to stay strong and train and recover well.”

Instead of:
“I’m getting older, so I guess this is what happens.”
You become: “I’m building a body that can carry me powerfully through the next several decades.”

Your actions reinforce your identity and your identity makes those actions easier begin and to repeat.

You don’t need to become the woman you were at 30.

Decide who you want to be at 50, 60, 70 and beyond and start practicing being her now: strong, capable, and resilient.

Progressive overload isn’t just about building stronger muscles. It’s also about building a stronger version of you.

Every time you add 5 pounds to the bar, you’re proving to yourself that you can do hard things.

The weight gets heavier, but so does your confidence. Over time, you stop identifying as someone who’s “trying” to get fit.

You become someone who is strong, resilient, and capable. That’s the real power of progressive overload.

🍴 Lift the fork to FUEL.
🏋️‍♀️ Lift the weight to FILL OUT.
Your muscles, that is. 😉💪

Want a strong, shapely body? You have to give your muscles two things:
Enough food to build them.
Enough resistance to give them a reason to grow.

You can’t chronically under eat your way to a strong, shapely, muscular physique.

Protein provides the building blocks.
Calories provide the energy.
Progressive resistance training provides the signal.

So stop being afraid of the fork.
Stop being afraid of the weights.
Fuel it. Lift it. Fill it out. 💪🔥

YOU ARE ONLY HUMAN. You’ll have good days, bad days, overwhelming days, “too tired” days, “I’m awesome” days, “I can’t go on” days. But every day, you continue to show up - you’re winning.

Here are some simple strategies that I find helpful when I’m having a rough time:

👉🏻Positive visualisation is great if you're stressed or anxious about a specific upcoming situation. Shut your eyes. Take one deep breath. In that breath visualize a positive outcome.

👉🏻Controlled breathing is useful for acutely stressful situations. Close your eyes and for 20 secs, just count the number of sounds you hear. We can sometimes let things spiral out of control. This might not fix the problem but it will give you a short reprieve from toxic thoughts and help to reground you.

👉🏻 Apply the 90 second rule. Whatever you're pi**ed off about. Whoever you're angry at. Feel it all. Acknowledge it. Then let that sh*t go. Find something to be grateful for within 90 secs - anger and fear cannot coexist with gratitude.

👉🏻Energy clearing. I use this if ever I get emotionally overwhelmed by other people. Close your eyes. Imagine that you have little cords attaching you to that person or people. Take a deep breath and visualize cutting the cords. Then reclaim your mojo.

👉🏻 Give yourself a pep talk to remind yourself that one bad day does not mean a bad life. “This situation is not forever.” “This stinks but I’ve survived worse.” “I’m allowed to be sad/anxious/scared.” And my personal favorite - "I’m a strong person, i got this.”

👉🏻Do a random act of kindness. I do this everyday. It’s one of my top self care strategies. In my eyes there’s nothing better than seeing someone’s day being made ☺️

👉🏻 And finally, it’s ok if some days are just bad and can’t be salvaged. Not every bad day can become a good day. And that’s what bed is for. Sleep can be a game changer. Don’t let a bad day today ruin a perfectly good day tomorrow.

Weight loss = eating less
Fat loss = eating enough + protein
Fat loss and muscle = protein + lifting + patience

Most women stop at line one.

Go further.

Walking lowers cortisol.

Lifting raises testosterone.

Stretching releases trauma.

Dancing regulates your nervous system.

Movement isn’t punishment for what you ate.

It’s medicine for how you feel.

But here’s the thing…

My goals don’t disappear just because I’m tired.

The weights are still waiting.
The cardio still needs to get done.
My meal prep still matters.

Being tired is real.
Letting it become an excuse is a choice.

Because excuses have a way of talking you out of everything.

“Skip the gym today.”
“Don’t worry about weighing your food.”
“Cardio can wait until tomorrow.”

One decision might not seem like a big deal.
But those little decisions add up.

That’s why I don’t rely on motivation.
I rely on discipline.

Discipline is what gets you out of bed when you’d rather stay there.
Discipline is what gets you through a workout when your energy is low.
Discipline is what keeps you moving toward your goals when excuses are begging you to stop.

Some days I’m exhausted.
Some days I don’t want to train.

But I made a promise to myself that my temporary feelings wouldn’t make permanent decisions for my future.
