FWC Competitive Shooting Team

Congratulations to the FWC Competitive Shotgun Team on a great season!

This week, we celebrated our athletes at our annual awards dinner and recognized several standout competitors.

Cardinal Clay Buster of the Year is awarded to our top competitors based on tournament scores and tournament participation.

This year’s winners are:
Upper School Male: Jackson Perdue
Upper School Female: Tabitha Sikes
Middle School Male: Oliver Godyn

We also presented the Fighting Cardinal Award, which recognizes hard work, participation, improvement throughout the year, and a great attitude toward others.

This year’s Fighting Cardinal Award went to Alex Hestand. Alex was chosen for his dedication, growth, and positive attitude all season long.

We are proud of all of our athletes and excited to see our Middle School students move up to Upper School next year.

A special congratulations to Jackson Perdue as he graduates!

FWC CST showed up strong at the SCTP Northwest New Year Event yesterday (Jan. 10)! Cold, windy, and tough — but our athletes stayed locked in and worked all day in Trap + Sporting Clays. 🎯💨

A few weeks ago, our Fort Worth Christian Competitive Shooting Team traveled to the TexasYESS Pearl Harbor Sporting Clay Competition (Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025) and represented FWC with focus and grit. 💪

Athletes competing: Tabitha Sikes, Jackson Perdue (Team Captain), Victor Portillo, Alex Hestand, Hunter Kenny, Jack Kennedy, Oliver Godyn, and Clayton Bertschy.

Highlights:
🎯 Jackson Perdue (Team Captain) finished 4th in Senior Varsity Men (Sporting)
🎯 Tabitha Sikes placed 3rd (Super Sporting) and tied for 4th (Sporting)
🎯 Oliver Godyn earned a top-10 finish in the Intermediate group
🎯 Alex Hestand turned in a personal best with strong rounds in Sporting and Super Sporting

A huge congratulations to Hunter Kenny and Clayton Bertschy for stepping into their first-ever sporting clays tournament and competing with confidence—they both did a great job out there. 👏

Jack Kennedy continues to be a steady force for our squad—reliable, composed, and improving his scores meet after meet. Victor Portillo is putting in the work and gaining confidence each competition as he sharpens his routine.

We’re back at it this upcoming weekend at the SCTP Northwest League New Years Shoot—good luck to all of our athletes. Go FWC! 👏

🎯 Fort Worth Christian Competitive Shooting Team kicked off the season strong!

This Saturday, seven of our team members competed in the Northwest Division SCTP Trap Opener — our first tournament of the year.

Our team is led this year by Captain Jackson Perdue.

Huge congratulations to Tabitha Sikes, who placed 3rd in Ladies Varsity!

Our new shooters, Hunter Kenny & Kate Stephens, had an outstanding showing for their first competition!

Alex Hestand, Oliver Godyn and Victor Portillo all had personal bests, congrats!
