In honor of our mascot, Penny, who recently left us, the Death Hounds Hockey Club and Back Door Bangerz hockey team are hosting a charity event to help out our good friend Penny Kenny Wayne. The goal is to get a total of 60 players for the game to be played on Sunday, August 18, at 8pm at the Ice at the Parks rink in the Arlington Mall.

If you are a current or past Death Hounds or BDB player, please feel free to wear your jersey. If you haven't played on either team you are still welcome to sign up. Folks are bringing pot luck to the rink to share and if you just want to donate we can get that to Ken as well.

Cal Mees, Valerie, and I worked through all sorts of details today which I can now share! There are two player options for the event:

Basic ($20) - Player spot on one of the teams.
Sponsor ($40) - Player spot on one of the teams, plus a commemorative t-shirt and puck.

We are taking the first 60 players that sign up and there isn't a skill level as this is a family fun event. We are all getting together to enjoy sharing the ice. There will be three periods as usual, with 30 players on each team. Each period will be played by 10 players to make two lines. Valerie and I will work together to build the rosters so each player knows which one period they are playing in.

DHSN.TV will be filming the event and there will be at least one photographer there to do individual player photos for a donation to Ken as well.

If you are interested in playing, please respond in the comments. If you want a Sponsor level spot, please include your t-shirt size so we can place the order right away.

If you can't make it and want to donate, you can send Zelle, Paypal, or Venmo to [email protected] and I'll give Ken the money on the 18th.

Our first video was published on YouTube a year and a half ago. It was a hockey game between Death Hounds and Prestige Worldwide at Nytex. It was recorded in standard definition with a secondhand camera purchased from a church in Cabot, AR. Since then we've added newer high definition equipment and have featured sporting events with up to 14 different angles including helmet cams, goal cams, and our newest Fujinon digi 22 HD lens at Clover Cup 2024. Today we are proud to announce the addition of DHSN.TV. Our newest high definition videos will be posted posted on DHSN.TV our YouTube channel will continued to be used for livestreams and archived videos. Thanks to all of our subscribers for your support as we continue to grow and add more content from across the metroplex.

So many firsts last night in the Death Hounds Luxor vs. Biohazard game! Biohazard is the new team to the D-Lower league at Nytex, having just graduated from I-League this summer. Great group of folks who played hard the entire game with positive attitude, out there to have fun.

Luxor brought home the 8-4 win through help from the whole team and numerous firsts:

Goal #1 - Cynthia Tilotta's first Death Hounds goal with a one-timer from Jason Pugh and Tonya Vandergriff.

Goal #2 - Andrew Hillas's first Death Hounds goal nearly identical to Cynthia's from Ryan Roberts.

Goal #4 - Brandon Schreck gets a goal carrying the puck down from a faceoff for the first time playing Center.

Goal #5 - Robin Pittsley hits the back of the net on an assist from Buddy Wayne Gill during Buddy's first time ever playing in a game!

Goal #8 - John French picks up a rebound to drop in his first Death Hounds goal.

Kudos to everyone last night for an all-around solid game by both teams.
