New shop area getting setup! Same great wheels!
This customer wanted a beefy, no nonsense E-bike wheelset that wouldn't leave him stranded out in the middle of Moab and places like it.
Enter the Dt Swiss 350 Hybrid hubs, DT Swiss Alpine 3 Spokes, Sapim Brass double square secure lock ni***es and DT Swiss FR541 29/27.5 rims.

Time to cut some spokes for the next week build!
Using my Morizumi Spoke cutting/threading machine to custom cut most of the spokes that come out of Cuyuna Wheel Lab. I like to get the LBNT spokes (Long barrel, No Threads) so I can cut to spec.
Someone told me to build a dial. Alrighty then. These wheels are the Teravail Fluent 29 that I measured the ERD on before. Built up perfect and as it should. These sweet wheels will be going on a Cotic steel Full suspension - Flare Max.

Another Beautiful wheelset has been finished!
These are the Onyx Loch Ness fat hubs, Nextie 27.5x35 internal symmetrical rim, Sapim laser spokes and Sapim Securelock ni***es.
Ni***es and Wolf tooth valve in blue to compliment the blue accents on their Pistachio colored Otso Voytek V1. The Lockness color will look amazing against the pistachio green and the gold end caps will finish it off nicely.
If you need a wheelset, wheel need, new rim, new hub, everything. Doesn't matter, let me know and I'll see what we can do!

Another day, Another wheel build!
This time it's a beautiful set of Onyx classic Fat hubs in March 2026 monthly color "Loch Ness".
These will go great with the Sapim Laser spokes and blue Sapim Secure lock alloy ni***es.
Mating it all together onto some Nextie Carbon 27.5 rims for 27.5+ tires.
These wheels will be a sweet carbon wheelset for the Pistachio color Otso Voytek V1 fat bike they are going on.
ALWAYS check your ERD before you build your wheels. I can't tell you how many times early in my career I assumed the company info was correct.
In this case, on this Teravail Fluent 29 rim. they say it is 591.5mm ERD. my measurements show 595 w the included ni**le washers. Washers are barely .5mm thick.
If I were to have bought or cut spokes based on their website, I would have to scrap the spokes and start over. They would not be long enough.
CHECK YOUR ERD and save you headaches later on in the build process.

Sometimes, it's just a simple hub replacement. This customer had a Bontrager hub that failed catastrophically - the pawl drive ring separated from the hub shell. So he was spinning and going no where.
If you have any wheel needs, Feel free to reach out! It doesn't need to be a bad ass Onyx, Berd, Carbon wheelset. It can simply be lacing in a new rim or hub, new spokes.
Why the Lefty? In the late 90's Disc brakes were becoming a thing. Cannondale had the Headshok. That however could only have so much travel before making the handling poor w a rising head tube to support the extra travel. They combat the rising head tube and travel with a negative rise stem. This worked for a time. Lefty was Cannondale's answer to keep the Headshok guts, which are awesome, going and still be uniquely Cannondale.
