Had a very nice 2 day outing with my guests Bob & Christina from Nebraska last weekend. While targeting walleye with crank baits, we got into a bunch of other species too. There were walleye, northern pike, drum ( also known as sheephead), small mouth bass, channel catfish, and even a musky. I had a great time and I think they did too.

My client Adam called me and wanted to do a full day fishing trip. He wanted to spend half the time on walleye and half on musky. A tall order for any guide. I told him the best place for that double play was the St Croix River. He liked that idea and said the St Croix was on his bucket list as was catching a musky. So, off we went to the St Croix. We managed to fulfill his request. We caught several walleye in the first four hours, including his first sauger, a very nice 18.5 incher. On the second half of the day it took us less than an hour to get him into a very nice thick 38 inch musky. Needless to say, we were both pumped. It's especially gratifying as a guide to be able to succeed in this way. All fish were released on this day. Great job Adam!

Went down to one my favorite late fall spots with a buddy last night 11/05/22 and we were not dissapointed! Over 20 walleye caught in about 2 hours. The size class was as good as I've seen in quite a few years. I think a couple were pushing 27-28". Most were over 20". What a blast!

Went down to my favorite river today August 14th. This nice channel cat was the fight of the day. And the only picture we took. We did smack the walleye pretty good though. 6 keepers and about 20 fish overall.

From August 7th. Repeat guest Mike Gomez and friend. We didn't get a many walleye and sauger as usual, but we managed to get several species including: walleye, sauger, pike, flat head catfish, even a rock bass and that huge buffalo carp. Amazingly enough (well not for me) they were all caught on crank baits. Even then big carp. Good times Mike. We will do it again.

From August 6. My guest Mikol was a true gamer toughing out 4 hours of bass fishing while its was mostly raining. We caught a lot of bass and pike. Only one pic due to the rain.

My guests Jean-Marc and Matt were having a good ole time catching bass. We caught many pike too. Lots of action that day. From August 2nd. On a metro lake.

From July 8th. Another fine day on the river. My boys from Texas and Oklahoma had a great time catching walleye and sauger. Got a couple saugers close to 18 inches. Those are nice sized saugers if you're unaware. Good job boys.

Nice outing this morning with Geoff Tilsen and Nate. We got six nice keepers, one pike, and one 18"inch sauger. We released about 8-10 other walleye. It was good times boys!
