This is still Integrity, and we're still going to be moving, playing games, and doing some training!

Costumes may get dirty, ripped, or damaged during class. Please don't send your child in an expensive or delicate costume you wouldn't want damaged.

We recommend comfortable costumes that allow kids to move safely. Avoid sharp accessories, restrictive masks, or anything that could hurt a training partner.

Belts don't happen that often in Jiu Jitsu so when they do it's cause for celebration. Chris dominated Grappling Industries aggressively chasing submissions even when far ahead. Sometimes he did things the hard way but he always gets them done. He earned his belt the old fashioned way on the competition mats.
Will has been training for almost 4 years. He had an injury and came back and stuck with it. His schudule changed and he has been only able to make a couple classes a week. His guard is very good and gives fighters fits.
Two blue belts earned different ways right about the same time. Belts don't come easy when they do come its important to recognize them. Good work boys.

Jamie's Ice Cream champion of the month Nate crushed it in September. He already was a good hockey player and is rounding out his skill set in mma. He has rapidly become one of the best in class. 70's in October get to Jaime's today!

We had competitors on the mats at Pans and Grappling Industries, and I’m incredibly proud of how everyone represented our gym.
Hayden competed at Pans and had some great exchanges, almost finishing the ankle lock he’s been torturing everyone in the room with. He took a solid groin strike and kept fighting through it. He’s right back at it next weekend at IBJJF Toronto.
Neo stormed through Grappling Industries with a 100% submission finish rate.
Dan started a little slow, had a minor cut that our team medic took care of, then went on to take GOLD in both Gi and No-Gi.
Nico competed in his first tournament, got his first armbar submission and lost a tough gold medal match against a kid who pretty much wrapped his arms around himself to keep Nico from arm barring him. I’m proud of his effort, and maybe even prouder that he did it with a stuffed animal there with him. It reminded me of Gage sitting in his mom’s lap before going out and pinning the who’s who of youth wrestling.
Our kids finished one medal away from third place as a team.
If we ever get all of our competitors on the mats at the same tournament, look out for us.
On the adult side, Chris stole the day.
Chris took second in Gi and first in No-Gi. Competing in the adult division when you’re over 40 is no joke. He had at least 14 points that I thought should have scored and didn’t—and still walked away with gold and silver.
I had the honor of awarding Chris his blue belt on the podium. Chris is everything a competitor should be, and I was incredibly proud of his performance.
Ielfri went in already injured and had some very tough matches. I watch Ielfri in our room and know the talent and skill he has. It didn’t really come out in this tournament until his last match. He came in with a limited training schedule and not much tournament time, but we left on a high note. We’ll build on that rolling into ADCC in December.
Mike jumped into the tournament without much prep time. I think he had 10 or 11 rolls since joining us and went 1-3 on the day. Considering where he is in his training, that was a great performance. Even when he was exhausted and out-skilled, he continued to fight. He showed heart and a determination to win.
Medals are great, but I’m even more proud of how our people competed.
We’re getting better. We’re getting more people out there. And we’re building something.

Being a gym owner has a lot of ups and downs. September 18th and 19th were both.
Derrick Patterson fought in New Jersey Friday. I was originally going with him. It was going to be a brutal turnaround for Joey Pasiak’s fight Saturday, but I planned to sleep in the rental car and make it happen.
Derrick’s opponent pulled out and the fight was off. Then he got a last-minute replacement from Alex Pereira’s gym. By the time it was confirmed, I couldn’t get a rental car or get licensed by the commission.
I ran home after practice, plugged my phone in, laid on the floor and watched Derrick fight.
It was emotional not being there. I’m used to being in the corner trying to solve problems. We came up short by submission, and being hundreds of miles away was hard. I spent time talking with Derrick afterward. I think he’s going to make some changes in his training, and I can’t wait to see his success.
Saturday was Joey.
I’ve never been more confident going into a fight as the owner of Integrity. Joey trained six days a week, made weight and did everything required of a fighter. The kid is a monster.
At the venue I was offered a grappling match. I made sure Joey was okay with it. He told me I better do it, so we competed on the same card.
Our coaching staff was amazing. Aaron Ackley and Amanda Dustin helped get Joey ready throughout camp and on fight day.
Joey fought his heart out. He broke his nose in the first exchange and kept coming. He showed what I want from an Integrity fighter: make weight, be prepared, push the pace and be fighting to win in the third.
With the point deduction, I thought it should have been a draw. Officially we lost. Joey came out ready to go again.
Keep your eye on this kid. He’s good.
My match went well. I got the submission quickly and kept Integrity’s Gladius winning streak intact.
We didn’t get every result we wanted, but I couldn’t be more proud of my team.
Wins give us something to celebrate. Losses give us work to do. I love coaching these guys through both.
