Work was performed to Assabet Park playground on Tuesday to address a section of rubber surface that was sinking by the swings. DPW had taped off and put signs around the affected area of the park (instead of closing the entire park) to not use the equipment until the 48-hour curing time was complete. Unfortunately, these pictures were from yesterday afternoon, showing the sign was moved and the caution tape was thrown around the park. We hope that this has not caused any issues with the $6,800 repair, and we would like to note the importance of the signage put in place by DPW for any kind of repairs throughout the town. If there are any questions regarding signage/tape at the parks, please feel free to contact DPW or Recreation for information.
