We are so proud of all of our students who competed in the Cowtown Classic tournament this past weekend! It takes courage to step out of your comfort zone to give it a try. Thanks to the parents who spent part of their Friday and/or Saturday for their children to do some Taekwondo with us. We hope you all had a wonderful experience! If you got a medal, congrats! If you didn't get a medal, now you know what you can work on to be better. Either way, keep learning, working and striving to be your best everyday!

Congrats to Mr. Banks! Senior Master Hill presented him with his newly earned 6th degree Black Belt this week during class. We are blessed to have Mr. Banks here with us and are proud of his newest level of achievement.

We will be closed for Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Have a great weekend with your family!

We are proud to begin a program we call Master Skill of the Month. For the month of September, we have started reciting the Spirit of Taekwondo at the beginning and ending of every class. We plan for all students to be comfortable reciting them at our next belt testing in October. Ask your kids about them!

Remember, starting next week, we will be in full white uniform on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. ATA tshirt and kickpants or white uniforms can be worn on Monday and Friday.

Good luck to Mr. Richards, Matthew, and Madden as they will be leaving for Alaska on Monday! Here are a few pics of last year's Alaska trip.

It was so great to see all of you yesterday! ICYMI, we are back from our trainings and competitions at Worlds 2026 in Phoenix! The trainings the ATA provided for us were wonderful and full of information that we are excited to bring back to our students!

I witnessed so many taekwondo students excelling in so many ways this week! It gives me hope for our future to see these young men and women being such leaders even during their own struggles. Taekwondo is one way to get our kids to the next level in their lives.

Tournament of Champion Results:
Kennedy J- 3rd place in the WORLD in Creative Weapons.

Super 20 Results: (Super 20 is the beginning of the new tournament season)
Kennedy J - 1st in traditional weapons, 3rd in combat sparring, 3rd in creative forms, and 3rd in creative weapons.

Christy E - 3rd in traditional weapons and 3rd in sparring.

Mr. Richards - 3rd in traditional weapons

Kaden M - competed in forms, weapons, combat sparring, and sparring.

ICYMI: Worlds Competition is in full swing!

Kennedy J. took third place in the WORLD in her creative weapons form!!

Mr. Banks tested for his 6th degree black belt yesterday morning and did outstanding!

And Mr. Richards and Mr. Banks’ instructor, Sr. Master Hill tested for his 8th degree black yesterday morning! Great job sir! We are proud to be your students.

Northlake Martial Arts Academy will be OPEN on Friday, July 3, for normal classes. Remember, black belts who have signed up will have try outs for Team Sparring at 6:30 pm during the competition class.

Just a reminder that we will be closed on Monday 6/22 and Tuesday 6/23 while Mr. Richards and Coach Richards attend Coach’s Father’s funeral.

We will be open for normal classes starting on Wednesday 6/24. Thank you for your understanding during this time.
