💄✨ GLAM MAKEOVER SPA PARTY! 💕

Yesterday’s Glam Makeover Spa Party was filled with creativity, pampering, and lots of fun! 🎀 Everyone started by painting and personalizing their own wooden hairbrushes 🎨, then created DIY lip scrubs 💋 before enjoying snacks and hanging out with friends while taking turns getting mini makeovers! 💄✨

We had such a great time and loved seeing so many familiar faces come back to join us! 💕

🛠️What a fun way to wrap up our 4-Week Real Life Skills Workshop! 🔨

Over the past four weeks, our participants learned valuable hands-on skills while building confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and independence. From using tools and materials to following directions and completing projects, every class brought something new to learn! 💪
For our final class, everyone finished their DIY key holders 🔑 and wrapped things up with a fun elastic cord craft! 🎨 📝 📏

🔤✨ Let’s look back at Week One of Alphabet Adventures! 📚💛

Our little learners had a fun-filled start to this 6-week program designed for ages 2–5! Each week brings new opportunities to explore letters, learn through play, and build early learning skills. 🌟

👨‍👩‍👧 Ages 2 & 3 are required to attend with an adult.

We’re excited for more learning, exploring, and Alphabet Adventures ahead! 🍎🔤✨

✏️🎨 CARTOON & ANIME DRAWING IS UNDERWAY! 🌟

Our first Cartoon & Anime Drawing class kicked off this past Thursday, and our young artists jumped right into the basics of bringing characters to life! ✨

During Week 1, we explored:
✏️ Different types of lines and shapes and how they are used in drawing
😊 Head shapes & face proportions
👀 Facial features
😄 Creating different facial expressions

These fundamentals will help our artists as we work our way toward creating our own cartoon, anime & chibi-style characters throughout the session! 🎨🖌️

We can’t wait to see their skills and creativity grow each week! 🌟

🚴 Join Us for the 2026 Tour de Proviso!

Veterans Park District is excited to join Village of Melrose Park and Best of Proviso Township for the 2026 Tour de Proviso!

Grab your bike and join us for a 10-mile community ride through Melrose Park, and neighboring towns on Saturday, October 3. Riders ages 18 and up are invited to participate, whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just looking for a fun way to get active and enjoy the community.

📍 Start & Finish: Melrose Park Village Hall
⏰ Check-In: 8:00 AM
🚴 Ride Begins: 9:00 AM
📏 Distance: 10 miles

Be sure to stop by the Veterans Park District booth at the start and finish line, say hello and enter our bike helmet raffle!

And after you complete the ride, keep the morning going by visiting us at the Cimbalo Fitness Center for our Open House. Come inside, tour the facility, meet our staff and see what Cimbalo has to offer.
