Due to the major Nor’easter heading our way this weekend.

With winds over 20 knots and seas expected to exceed 4’ feet, please review the following urgent reminders for all members with boats.

Check & Double Your Lines: Inspect mooring and dock lines today and add additional lines to secure your vessel against heavy winds and surges.

Test Bilge Pumps: Confirm that automatic bilge pumps are working properly.

Monitor Your vessels: Ensure someone is checking on your boat regularly throughout the storm.

Thank you for your prompt attention to securing your vessels. Stay safe and dry this weekend!

Shout out to M/V Liberty for making the unscheduled extra long trip around Turtle Head to the East side of the bay to find wind for this year's AIR.

The start cannon was finally shot at 11:45 (rather than the typical 10:30) after the flotilla of competitors anxiously followed her across flat water hoping for a breeze to fill in.

Liberty is a lovely MJM 40 owned by Mike and Jen Lannan -- and she's for sale too!

Another successful Around Isleboro Race in the books! Such a fun event in the Penobscot Bay each year in September. Thanks so much to the hard working Racing Committee (Jim Coughlin, Craig Brigham, Lindsay Huntoon, Dan Doucette, and Chris Lewton) as well as Committee boat Liberty provided generously by Mike & Jen Lannan, along with so many Volunteers (led by Joanna Lewton) that made this happen!
