Body and mind are not separate. The thoughts you think are not separate from your body. In fact your body often influences your thoughts. Poor diet, poor relationships, poor lifestyle, trauma. All these things affect the quality of our thoughts, behaviors and emotions because they also affect our body’s ability to regulate itself. Stress shuts down digestion and basically any healing function in the body. If your digestion (gut) is out of balance there is a direct relationship to your brain. The same goes for brain to gut. Really everything in your body. Too much info for this small post. Most people often only live there lives from the neck up, stuck in the head feeling like what goes on below is just genetic destiny. It doesn’t work that way. The body system requires balance to function optimally. And when your in balance no disease can exist. . So where do we find balance? Look into nature. After all we are natural beings and without the earth we can’t live. Sunlight makes things grow, food nourishes, water replenishes, air allows us to breathe and make sound (language). Getting back to natural-ness is what we need to thrive in our evolving world. People are sick and sad because we’ve forgotten what it means to be human. We’re wrapped up in television, social media and what we’ve been told we need to do to be “accepted” instead of letting our intuitive biology let us know. Get outside, eat real food, give love to people you care about and for god sakes stop overthinking it, move your body in a variety of ways, find your purpose (no purpose is too small) ,don’t forget to stop and breathe deep and start to get in touch with your body. It’s called interoception and it’s another sense we haven’t been taught about. Don’t take for granted what and who you have because we’ve been programmed to think we should have something better or a certain way. Get clear on what you want. Appreciate what’s in front of you because life is change.
