π₯Laylaβs story below is ultimate proof that real transformation is about strength, mindset, and consistency! π
I constantly struggled with my weight and body image. Especially after having my third child, I found myself at my highest weight and stuck in an endless cycle of fad diets and failed workouts. I joined Burn Boot Camp at the end of 2023. What initially drew me in was that the workouts were already planned for you and I could even bring my kids! I was not consistent during my first few months at Burn and started to think that maybe this is another thing that won't work for me. It was not until I booked my first focus meeting that gave me the motivation I needed to give it a real shot.
After that focus meeting I began going to 5:45am camps consistently. Getting up in the morning helped me stay consistent and not let the excuses of a busy life get in the way. One day after a camp, a trainer suggested the InBody machine. Between workouts, focus meetings, and the inbody, I began seeing changes beyond the number on the scale. Burn Boot Camp helped me understand that the number on the scale is a small part of the bigger picture. Instead of obsessing over every pound lost, I am now excited to know how much muscle I'm gaining and know that I can push myself with every workout.
Although I have come a long way, I still have a ways to go. I am grateful for the community at Burn Boot Camp Norwood for providing the support, encouragement, and motivation I need to show up.

Megan shows up with a smile on her face and gives her best effort every single camp. No matter what life throws her way, she keeps showing up, working hard, and setting a great example for everyone around her.
Beyond camp, she's also a familiar face in Childwatch, helping take care of so many of our Burn kiddos. Her resilience, positivity, and consistency make Burn a better place every day.
