π¨ IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE π¨
Due to the excessive heat and the wildfire smoke/air quality advisory affecting our area, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight's Concerts in the Park featuring the Aston Brass Band.
This decision was not made lightly. We know many of you were looking forward to a fun evening in the park, and we sincerely apologize for the last-minute cancellation. However, the health and safety of our residents, the Aston Brass Band, our vendors, volunteers, and everyone involved must come first.
We are incredibly grateful to the Aston Brass Band, Cool Cravings, Kona Ice, and Ship Bottom Brewery for their support and understanding.
The Norwood Parks & Rec Board is already working to find a reschedule date, and we'll share that information as soon as it's confirmed.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support of our community events. Please stay cool, stay safe, and we'll see you in the park soon! β€οΈπ³πΆ

π BIG SHOUT OUT! π
A huge thank you to Shane Mathis, John Mathis, Roma Steel, and all of the dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to install new steel poles, weld, and hang netting around Cassidy Field.
Because of their hard work and generosity, the field not only looks incredible, but it is now even safer for our players, families, and community. Projects like this simply don't happen without volunteers who are willing to give their time, talent, and resources to make a difference.
Norwood Athletic Club is proud to continue investing in our facilities and making improvements that benefit generations of athletes. We are committed to keeping our fields among the very best around, and this is another great example of what can be accomplished when our community comes together.
Thank you again to everyone who helped make this project a reality! βΎπ₯β½π
