Bone Building for Osteopenia & Osteoporosis
Over 44 million men and women in the United States now have low bone density or brittle bone disease called osteoporosis according to the national osteoporosis foundation. For these individuals, a slip or fall, could result in a painful bone fracture. To protect bone health, a mix of balance, weight-bearing and strengthening exercises can help.
Join me as I take you through a series of yoga poses and exercises designed to help strengthen bones and create flexibility. Exercises will include the use of chairs, blocks, and straps to help sustain and improve body alignment.

Chair Yoga for Posture and Balance:
Have you always wanted to improve posture and balance but don’t know the correct exercises to do so? Incorrect posture can lead to neck and back pain while poor balance can make you prone to unsteadiness and possible falls.
Certified Yoga Instructor, Grace Furnari will teach you simple yoga poses and exercises that will help strengthen muscles and improve balance through breathing and focus. Chairs will be used to help with balance training. This is a great class for men and women alike!

A mix of balance, weight bearing and strengthening exercises to help protect bone health with instructor Grace Furnari. Class will conclude with 15 minutes of calming meditation and optional aromatherapy.
