Scott Quimby Disc Golf World Tour

Today Chandra sent me a video (see video in comments) of her sinking a par with Scott’s disc, out at Low Gap in Ukiah, CA.

This is one of the discs Rich started on its journey through California, and it’s still making the rounds out there.

I know Scott is loving every minute of his disc flying around the California courses. It makes me so happy. 💙

It only took a little over a year, but we’ve found Scott’s replacement. Everyone, meet Scott. He’s a few years older than the original, he’s an amazing disc golfer, has a similar haircut, the same first name (maybe even middle name, we forgot to ask), the same birthday month, and the same sense of humor.

New Scott came across two of Scott’s traveling discs since December, which we’re choosing to interpret as Scott arranging this meeting himself from wherever he currently is. So we did the obvious thing — played 18 holes, got lunch, and added a new friend to the family.

When Rob told us about the traveling disc idea, none of us expected it to turn into what it has become over the last year. It’s truly something special.

Thanks for making the drive to PA, Replacement Scott. We look forward to hanging out again in the near future. 💙🥏

Lots of Scott disc golf love coming in today! 🥏💙 Starting with the first text of the day, from Scott Ford and Karen Savar.

Scott and Karen found Scott’s traveling disc — the one that started its journey in Doylestown on our birthdays.

Scott texted me this:

“Hello, I sent a message a couple of hours ago with a picture of a disc my friend Karen and I found. I thought I recognized the name on it. I went back and looked at my Instagram posts and sure enough, I had found another disc dedicated to your friend Scott. I have attached the Instagram post I made about it back in December of 2025.
Glad to get the chance today to continue to be a part of Scott’s disc golf journey ✌🏻

Then he texted:

“Let’s try to meet up and throw a round together in your friend’s honor. I would love that. ✌🏻”

So — we’re making it happen. We are meeting up on Sunday (7/26) at 10:00 am to play a round together at Sellersville.

Scott’s traveling disc made its way through Anson in Kennett Square, thanks to the couple pictured below — and Colton!

Here’s what Colton shared with us:

“Hi! My name is Colton — I just started disc golfing about 2 weeks ago and was instantly hooked. I found the disc at Anson in Kennett Square while playing with some friends. Seeing how tight-knit the community is amazes me, and I look forward to getting more into this hobby and getting to know everyone 🙂 I brought the disc to Sedgley in Philly! I’m glad I got to experience this and be a part of the journey. Thank you!”

Scott’s disc is now at Sedgley in Philly — guess we’ll have to go check that out.

Thank you to all the amazing disc golfers, and especially Colton, for keeping Scott’s love for the game going strong. This is exactly what we hoped this journey would do. 🥏💙

Scott’s Traveling Disc Adventure Continues! 🥏✌️

Ed brought Scott’s disc back home to PA! It’s wild how this journey has gone — starting in PA, out to Delaware, down to Maryland, over to NJ, and now back home to PA again.

Ed sent the following text:

“Happy Fourth of July week! The Scott Quimby disc was thrown at East Bradford, Downingtown, and Kennett Square PA disc golf courses. It was left for someone else at Anson Nixon Park in Kennett Square. Cheers ✌️”

As promised, Ed has officially started throwing Scott’s disc at different spots!

Scott’s disc had a solid round at Scarboro Hills Disc Golf Course in Maryland! 🥏

The love came in hot from every hole —

Hole 14 — Zac: “RIP Scott”
Hole 15 — Tyler: “Long Live Scott!”
Hole 16 — Jack: “Am honored to throw one for Scott! Much love family!”

And then there was Ed on Hole 18 — who found the disc and sent the most beautiful message:

“Hi! I found this tribute disc on hole 18 at Scarboro Disc Golf Course in MD today. What an excellent idea for a tribute! I’m sorry Scott passed on. I hope to meet him one day in disc golf heaven. The disc is in good hands. I play disc golf in various states — I’ll send pictures of a few courses it makes a round on. I have a certain special course in mind in upstate New York that I plan to leave the disc at finally. Special scenic course. I’ll be in touch when I get there. All the best, Ed C.”

The love felt by all is everything. 🤍

I love that the disc Randi, Marc, Jess Wood and I played on Scott’s birthday — and mine — is out there having such an amazing adventure. I can’t wait to see where it plays next. 💙🥏💙🥏

The disc we launched on my birthday alongside Scott’s last September in Doylestown has been on a little journey — from Delaware, and now into Maryland.

Hi there. My name is Joe. I found this disc at Druid Hill in Baltimore and played it this morning at Scarboro Hills in Harford County, MD. This is Hole 1 and just before a league match that was behind us. I figure that they will carry it further along. RIP Scott and safe travels!

Joe, thank you for keeping Scott’s spirit in the game. His family and friends love knowing his discs are still out there, finding new courses, new players, and new holes. 💙🥏

A year. How is that even possible?

Not a day goes by — honestly, not even an hour — without Scott crossing my mind. Impossible to forget, impossible not to smile about, and absolutely impossible not to face palm about too. That’s just who he was.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The last year has been hard in ways I don’t have words for, but it’s also been filled with more laughter, more stories, and more of Scott’s spirit than I could have hoped for.

Yesterday’s Bench Dedication was everything. My face is still sore from laughing, my heart is so full, and I am so grateful for every single one of you who came out in that heat to show up for him. (I wish we got a group photo.)

This is officially an annual thing now — and YES, next year there will be t-shirts. Start workshopping your designs and wording.

But - Let’s not wait a whole year to do this again. These gatherings remind me that grief and joy can exist in the same space — and that Scott built something really special in the people around him.
