As today is 9/11 we remember all those lost on 9/11. We also are sharing information about events we are hosting next weekend.

We invite our entire school community — students, staff, families, and neighbors — to join us for a weekend of remembrance and pride.

Our teams will honor Welles Remy Crowther, "The Man in the Red Bandana," along with the Nyack alumni we lost on 9/11 or in the years since due to 9/11-related illness:

Stacey Sennas McGowan,
Joseph Stach, and
Harry Wanamaker Jr.

Friday, September 18 — Red Bandana Game
Varsity Football hosts John Jay Cross River.

Ceremony: 6:45 PM
Kickoff: 7:00 PM

Saturday, September 19 — Nyack Red Bandana Day
A full day of varsity competition, opening with a ceremony on Rittershausen Field. Our opponents will join us on the field as we unite in remembrance.

Opening Ceremony: 11:45 AM

Varsity Games: 1:15 PM (full schedule attached)

We hope you'll come displaying your Red Bandana and stand with us.

Congratulations to multi sport athlete Ava Von Kleeck and her family as she has committed to Penn State! Ava is a highly skilled athlete who is a threat to score every time she touches the ball. She has worked extremely hard towards this accomplishment and we know she will excel at the next level. Ava is a wonderful person who brings energy every day.

Congratulations to multi-sport athlete, Lila Gilbart and her family as Lila has committed to John Hopkins for lacrosse! Lila is a high energy, fierce competitor who has a tremendous ceiling. Her work ethic and high character make her a wonderful teammate as well.

We are excited to share that for the second straight year we have received the NYSPHSAA School of Distinction Award!

Schools qualify for the School of Distinction Award by having 100 percent of their varsity teams earn NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Team recognition during their respective sports seasons.

Congrats to multi sport Abby Gould and her family as Abby has committed to the University of Michigan for lacrosse!

Abby is a tremendous athlete, fierce competitor, and all around amazing person. She will make an immediate impact on the lacrosse team and Michigan campus.
