Game 2 – Missouri Bulls Red 9, Chiefs 0 (L)
⚾️Garrett Chapman: Collected the Chiefs' lone hit, finishing 1-for-2.
⚾️Dean Frank: Struck out three in his outing.

Game 3 – Chiefs 7, Illinois Gators 0 (W)
⚾️Gabe Houser: Outstanding all-around performance, earning the complete-game shutout with 8 strikeouts while going 3-for-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs.
⚾️Michael McCarthy: Added 2 RBIs.
⚾️Brady Reames: Drove in a run during the decisive fifth inning.

⚾️Valon Williams: Dominated on both sides of the ball, tossing a one-hit shutout with 8 strikeouts while going 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and 3 RBIs.
⚾️Cooper Martin: Finished 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs.
⚾️Brady Reames: Added two hits and an RBI.
⚾️Michael McCarthy: Recorded two hits as the Chiefs pounded out 10 hits.

Weekend Recap
The Southern Illinois Chiefs 16U finished the weekend 3-1, showing resilience, timely hitting, and dominant pitching throughout the tournament. After opening with a comeback 4-3 victory over Warstic KC behind clutch fifth-inning hits from Gabe Houser and Brady Reames, the Chiefs bounced back from their lone loss in impressive fashion defeating Illinois Gators Greene 7-0 as Gabe Houser dazzled with eight strikeouts and three hits at the plate. The Chiefs brought home the championship against the Canes 16u team. Valon Williams starred in an 8-0 shutout of GMB Wood Bat Classic, striking out eight while launching a three-run homer, and the Chiefs closed the weekend with another shutout. Across four games, the Chiefs received big contributions from Reames, Houser, Williams, McCarthy, Chapman, and Martin, finishing the weekend with outstanding pitching, timely offense, a strong 3-1 record, and a championship! 💪⚾

The Southern Illinois Chiefs 16U finished the weekend with a 2-2 record, bouncing back from an opening loss with back-to-back victories before falling to Evansville Wolfepack in the finale. The Chiefs showed resilience throughout the tournament, combining timely hitting, disciplined at-bats, and strong pitching performances.
Brady Reames turned in one of the weekend's top performances, excelling both on the mound and at the plate. His 10-strikeout complete outing against the Panthers highlighted a dominant pitching effort, while he consistently produced offensively throughout the weekend.
Valon Williams anchored the shutout win over the Rawlings Tigers Mach, tossing four hitless innings with seven strikeouts, while contributors like Keagan Burleyson, Gabe Houser, Garrett Chapman, and Zack Houser delivered key hits and RBIs during the Chiefs' two victories.
Despite running into a tough Evansville Wolfepack squad twice, the Chiefs showed they can compete with quality opponents and carry momentum into next week's GMB Wood Bat Classic.
