Wood and Wheels Skate Shop

I have some great news for all the skaters in the area. After reading that I was retiring two of our guys have decided to purchase the shop and keep it open. I look forward in seeing the new generation stepping in. All of you congratulate Marc Barnstable and Matt Flowers, the new owners of Wood and Wheels Skate Shop.

I would still like to celebrate my retirement at elm skatepark the second weekend in June if it works out for everyone.

The only bad news is the closing sale is over as of tomorrow so you have one day left

As many of you may have heard, I have decided to retire. This has not been the easiest decision but it is time. I will be closing the shop at the end of May. Check on Instagram on closeout sales. I would like to thank all the skaters and customers that have walked through our doors for almost 21 years. Many of you have been a big part of our lives and part of our family. I always said that someday in our golden years, Mike and I will be sitting on our front porch, in our rocking chairs remembering all the fun and laughs that you all have brought to our lives. From the expressions on your face coming in and seeing the deck wall for the first time, to the competitions and everybody helping out, to seeing your first allie and to achieving the unbelievable skill level most of you have now. I am proud of all of you, in not only your skating abilities but what fine adults you have grown into. I am one of the most fortunate Mom's, not only due I have 2 of the greatest sons, I have all my skater kids. I love you all and wish you all the best in your future. Alane

We apoligize to anyone who has had difficulty reaching us by phone. If you haven't been by shop in the last week or so. We have moved 2 doors down from where we were. Our buidling sold and with lease going up, we were offered a good deal to move from 804 to 806 and we could not pass up doubling our space. It went smooth except for getting internet and phone lines switched. Thanks Spectrum. We are hoping that today is the day our phones will be switched. It only took 2 weeks to get internet installed and another 10+ days to go from landline to mobile. The good news, is once it is working we will be able to accept text messages and more.

Starting Saturday May 16th we will be open again on weekends, Jake, Joey and Nick will be back at shop. We still will be limiting the number of customers in shop so if you see a couple people in shop please wait til someone leaves before coming in. You must GermX (on counter) hands before touching anything in shop.

We just got several shipment over the last few days, New Alien Workshop, Baker, Chocolate, Deathwish, Foundation, Girl, Habitat, Powell, Toy Machine boards, along with hats Bones and Acid Wheels, Toy Machine Socks.

Coming in today or tomorrow Real, Anti Hero, Krooked, Atm, Thank You Boards along with Acid Wheels, Indy and Blacksmith Trucks. Welcome Boards should be hear in the next few days.

No pictures but here is list of new stuff this week, we got a shipment of Alien Workshop and Habitat boards, Stereo, BLVD, Powell and Lurkville. We also go 6 more longboard complete in today. Along with Acid Wheels, Bones Street tech wheels and mini logo, Primitive wheels. Reds Bearings, Silver Tools and Silver Trucks.

I have ordered Chocolate, Girl, Toy Machine, Foundation Welcome, Thank You, Baker and Deathwish boards, orb wheels, toy machine socks and much more. These shipment should be in between now and next week. With most companies working short staff it is taking a few days longer to get things.

I am still working on getting Real, Anti Hero and Krooked boards along with Spitfire wheels, I do not have a date on these as of yet, but will let you know when they come in. The only issue I will have with all these boards coming in we have a limit ed amount of griptape, so griptape will only be sold with purchase of a skateboard until I am able to replenish our stock of grip.

I apoligize to all who have been reaching out with questions. Since the guys are not back to shop yet, I have been trying to keep up and I am not to good at it, but we will get thru it. I am hoping that we will be opening Saturday and Sunday by May 16th.. we will be doing short hours though on Saturday 12 to 4 pm. The same on Sunday'sstill for a while. I will be eventually opening longer thru out the week . Right now we are open 12 to 4 pm Monday thru Friday. If you need me to stay longer, please call during that time and I will be more than happy to stay open. I again apoligize, I have been busy getting stock in for the shop.so I have alot of shipments that came in and more coming.. I will post it in a separate post. I just really wanted to Say sorry if I missed your post on here you can always call shop 636-281-5505 between 12 and 4 and I will be able to give you a quicker response. I also want to give a Thank you to all of you have been coming in these last few weeks helping us keep the shop open.
