After more than 11 years, 40K Cycles has closed its doors.

This is a hard post to write. When I opened the shop, I never imagined how much it would come to mean to me — and to so many others. What started as a bike shop quickly became something bigger: a place where friendships formed, miles were shared, races were launched, and a community grew.

I’ve had a front-row seat to first rides, first races, big wins, tough days, and countless conversations that started with bikes but were really about life. Watching people discover cycling, push their limits, and build lasting friendships has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

To everyone who walked through those doors — customers, teammates, employees, and friends — thank you. Your support, loyalty, and enthusiasm made 40K Cycles what it was.

While the shop itself is now part of the past, the memories, the rides, and the community will always be something I carry with me.

It’s been an incredible ride.
